Ordered this bed frame to replace an antique styled frame that was terrible. It looks great, was easy to put together (dont know why there were so many complaints about the instructions) and holds uo nicely. Now it is worth mentioning i added washers to distribute the pressure of the screws better, as a preparation of use. With an 8 inch thick memory foam mattress i do not feel the support bars, nor does it sag through the bottom. Occasionally i do lose a pillow between the head board and mattress but that is very rare. The headboard, footboard and shelf all appear to be made of a thick vinyl with wood appearance. I recommend drilling small pilot holes into these for the screws. Overall good quality frame with minor additions, Fits a queen sized matress very well and seems very sturdy. ... show more

I really like this frame, it doesnt squeak at all, the only issue i had was that the little things that are supposed to stop the mattress from shifting didnt fit around my costco mattress but I think thats just a specific mattress issue not really a frame issue. and anyways it works great without them. overall great frame! ... show more

All parts present and accounted for. Frame was easy to put together. It took some time to accomplish, as there were a lot of nuts and bolts. I'm happy with the looks. I have laid on it, and moved around quite a bit with no noise. So far, so good. Will update if any issues arise. Oh, and by the way, an electric drill makes it easier to assemble. ... show more

I just helped my 85-year-old mother slept for a bed for one of her spare bedrooms. In the past I have mostly bought higher-end beds, close to $2,000. my mom has visitors maybe 10 days a year so we thought It was worth trying getting a lower end inexpensive bed and hope for the best. The bed really looks great and is solid. She paid for a handyman to put it together so I can't wait the ease of putting it together. if you have not bought a bed in a long time, most beds are now platform beds, which means they have more support holding up the mattress and you will never need another box spring! I almost can't understand how something like this can be built and shipped for such a low cost. strongly recommend! ... show more

I had to pay the professional worker to assemble it overtime as much as the bed cost to buy. I was even helping him. He finally had to go to the next job so finished it my self. It took over 3 hours with two people. It came with many pieces with drawing that was small difficult to see. Some of the metal L brackets were bent and cracked. the middle bar on the floor level came with two end screw to put together. This product was a pain to put together, but I adore the shelf and its a good quality. The only way to make it better is if it was real wood. However, that wasn't enough to stop me from getting it and I am extremely happy with the sturdiness and the overall product.

Took two of us a few hours to put together for use in a guest bedroom / husband hideaway. Instructions are all pictures, no text, but easy to figure out. The metal parts are all labeled. Some of the screws are bundled in plastic bags with other screws, so you have to refer to the parts list to figure out which screw to use — would have been better if each screw size was packaged separately. One extra of each screw / small part was included. An allen wrench and hand wrench are also included, but highly recommend using a ratchet wrench if you have one. Be sure not to tighten anything all the way until everything is assembled, otherwise you might have a tough time getting some of the pieces to fit. And then remind your husband to tighten everything up even when he insists he already did that. Appears to be well made. No squeaks or problems so far. ... show more

The assembly was difficult and the instructions were not easy to understand/follow. With 2 people assembling it, it took about 3 hours. The wood that lays between the metal on the headboard and footboard does not sit flush with the frame so the wood is at a tilted angle so i cannot use the headboard as a shelf as advertised. Disappointed by this. However, the frame itself is very sturdy and stable, and there is no squeaking or shaking while supporting my mattress. I am not returning as I am not going through the process of unassembling it and sending back, and it does have great stability and sturdiness. However, I'm sure there are bedframes out there that are less of a headache to put together and that all the pieces line up and sit flush together. I suggest those who are looking at this bedframe to consider looking at other bedframes instead. ... show more
