  • Instructions: 1. Clean around window prior to installation. 2. Apply tape around outside edges of window. Remove top edge tape liner. 3. Starting at right side of window, roll film toward left side of window and cut to desired size. 4. Remove tape liner from other sides of window. 5. Unfold window film and secure firmly to tape. 4. Shrink film with hair dryer to remove wrinkles.

I have new windows but unfortunately they are paper thin and extremely drafty, which makes my house really cold most of the year. My heat bill was $1,000 last year! So I was looking for a temporary solution to help retain the heat in my house - I bought this product. I installed it on all 13 of my windows and I am literally amazed at the immediate difference! I do not feel any draft at all and the heat is not kicking on nearly as much as last winter. The house is definitely warmer for sure (for context, my house is over 5,300 square feet). I will be using this product every winter going forward. Highly recommend if you have drafty windows. My windows are deeply recessed so I installed this product on the wall before the recessed section and it worked amazingly! The plastic is clear and thin but not flimsy, especially once you apply heat. The adhesive is strong but seems like it won’t damage my walls (hopefully) upon removal. I thought this product was short, but the plastic does unfold. Just be careful to unfold it entirely when sticking to tape.

I used these and some off brand ones on a few windows. I followed the instructions for both. These held up and are still on the windows, the other brand fell off after a couple days and all the seals broke. Get the name brand for these and follow the instructions!

We use to protect windows and sealing out drafts for the out buildings on our property. The tape is very sticky and has to be placed correctly or it will not hold through the winter.

I put this on 5 windows. Went well, but while you need to make sure it is taut, you can’t really pull it or it will rip. Someone recommended getting the heavier one, in one of the reviews, and I would agree with that. This is okay, but very, very thin. Good brand though!!
