This is a great little compact switch for 2 PC's to share a dual-monitor setup. It share keyboard and mouse via USB and this connection of switch to computers via USB is what powers this unit. When first setting up, before I had all 8 cables plugged into the back, it seemed to be not working, but as soon as all 8 cables were in and steady power was run to the switch, it performed flawlessly. It is small, compact, aesthetic, and includes extra USB ports for external HDs or printers etc. This unit doesn't have jacks for audio or mic, but it is priced 2/3 of the cost of switches that do, so it's great performance for the money. ... show more

From all of the KVMs out there I selected this one (Kceve 2in-2out). I have two computers and two monitors and I wanted to switch between them. The setup was a little tricky at first as I needed to understand the connections. But once I set it up it was great! Especially the little remote switch. I hooked that up and placed it right beside my mouse pad. With a quick little finger jab I could switch between my PCs and the actual box was tucked away out of sight. Nice touch! Another aspect I like is its small size. Very compact for all the features it has. I had an issue with the device so I contacted customer support thru the Amazon vendor messaging system. They were very responsive and after some back and forth they explained how to resolve my issue. The manual is hard to read and I didn't hook it up right. The customer service person was very patient and courteous with me (and wrote in perfect English, so apparently not in China). I was impressed at their responsiveness - even over the weekend! ... show more

NOTE: - This review is for specifically for the unit labeled under "K Ceve" brand and listed as: "Dual Monitor KVM Switch 2 Port 4K@60Hz 2K@144Hz Simulation EDID,HDMI USB 3.0 Switch Extended Display 2 Monitors 2 Computers with HDMI and USB 3.0 Cable" I have seen a mix of reviews, both good and bad, on this listing. I chose to take a chance on this product because it is one of the few units with EDID emulation (It keeps the computers from acting like the monitor was unplugged and re-plugged every time you push the button) and because the majority of negative reviews show the manufacture having made good with the impacted users. I have two 1080p Acer SB220Q gaming monitors that function with no loss in quality of performance through the switch. (Be aware the manufacturer cautions that the inputs must be HDMI, or USB-C adapted to HDMI. Other kinds of adaptors might not work.) I chose to use JSAUX branded cables, instead of the ones included with the unit. There is a ~3 to 5 second delay in switching the monitors using the KVM, but that compares against a ~3 to 5 second delay in switching inputs per monitor through the On Screen Display, and I avoid having to run multiple sets of adaptors (because the monitors I have only have 1 HDMI port), and keeps the computers from thinking the monitors were disconnected. Some of the other reviews mention issue with product longevity. I'm not able to comment since I've only had mine for a couple of days now, but will update the listing if I run into trouble. (I believe the manufacturer has upgraded the unit since then- so might not be an issue) It's a dual monitor KVM that supports 4K@60Hz, and I'm running at 1080p@60Hz. - It does what I need it to do, and didn't do unspeakable damage to my wallet. - Would recommend. ... show more

I never could get the switch to work correctly. Two PCs with two monitor set up. PC1 worked but one monitor flickered. PC2 would only display one monitor. Bought all new cables at the same time. After a lot of troubleshooting and some help from IT, I decided to return it.

The unit works seamlessly with power cord. I was having issues getting it to display correctly. The description reads no powered required. However, once connected to power all issues were resolved.
