This thing is heavy. I have purchased quite a few different aftermarket brand Lithium batteries for my power tools and most of the time they lie about the capacity(when you open them up the cells specs give them away) so I expected this to be no different. That said, it's one of the heavier 6ah 24v batteries I have owned so my guess is the cells inside are at least good 2ah cells wired in parallel perhaps 6 series 3 parallel for true 6ah. ... show more

    • Ordered because my Sun Joe mower has been discontinued
I ordered this to keep on hand because my particular Sun Joe lawnmower has apparently been discontinued due to a problem with the blades. I've resolved that issue and continue to use it as it works great! I am concerned about getting parts for it and thought that having a spare battery would be a plus. My mower requires 2 batteries, at some point I may order a second battery as well. I had no problems charging this battery with the OEM charger, and I've used it alongside one of the original batteries to test and the mower worked fine. To obtain the optimal run time in a mower like mine, you have to have two batteries of the same capacity in use (mine is actually a 48-volt mower.) When my 2.0Ah battery is expended, there's still more than half of the power left in this new battery. Based upon my experience so far, I would (and probably will) order another one of these to keep on hand. The area we mow can easily be mowed twice on one charge with the original batteries, so we really don't need the extended runtime. But for someone who needs a longer runtime, using two of these batteries should have a significant impact. I can't speak to the overall life of the battery as I've only started using it recently. ... show more
