My favorite curling iron! I find that its easier to use then any other, because after clamping the hair strands midway, you are able to manually keep rotating the bar allowing the rest of the hair to be wrapped around all the way to the ends. Sounds complicated, but its actually easier then the others. I use this like I've always used my curling iron and it works well. I haven't been able to use it as the video suggests but I'm okay with that. Maybe with some practice I'll be able to manage it.

I have the same wand but in the 1” and love it which is why I decided to order the bigger size. I’m very familiar with how to use this curling wand but the clamp for this one is extremely loose does not hold my hair and doesn’t curl properly. After only ten minutes my hair was flat, literally flat. Love drybar but totally regretting spending the money on this. If you’re going to purchase one, get the 1”. This one’s awful. ... show more

I like that you can select the desired temperature, and I never burned my hair. It felt sturdy and durable, I did drop this and still works perfectly and it didn’t sustain any damage. Love it and also discovered drybar makes other good products as well.

I bought this product thinking it would help cut down on curling time with the manual rotating wand. I will admit the curls came out perfect every time. But I had some issues that made the cost of the curling iron not worth the purchase. I read through other reviews and many said it leaves weird crimped marks. That only happens if you are rotating the wrong way. Watching the product videos and tutorials before helped a lot. However the issue I kept having is that I would get two full rotations and then it was like the clamp would slip and let go of my hair and it just fell off the wand. I kept trying thinking it was my technique but the clamp would squeak and it happened almost every single time. I would also not recommend this product for thick hair. I was lucky if the curls even lasted a full day. So I would say the name is not very fitting for the product. ... show more

At first, this product was confusing to use. As I practiced it got easier and easier. I can gladly say this is my new favorite hair product. My curls never stay as my hair is naturally straight but with this curling iron my hair stays curled all day without hair spray!!!! SO glad I have this! Highly reccommend! ... show more

I hope anyone wanting to buy this item reads the reviews before spending $150. This curling iron is nothing but frustrating. Why would you design a clamp that doesn’t hold and a barrel you cannot turn. I’ve played with it enough that I get it. But don’t make the mistake of purchasing one.
