Features

  • THE WORLD IS YOUR PRACTICE PAD - Your sticks are now transformed into portable practice sticks because the silicone drumstick tips are made from the same are made from the same material as many drum practice pads and electronic drum pads
  • NO LOUD CLACKS - Let's be very clear, there will still be sound made by these drumstick tips, but instead of the high-pitch "clacking" sound, you will hear a dull "thud" sound which is much quieter and less annoying
  • REBOUNDS LIKE YOUR DRUMHEADS - Feels just like playing drums without disrupting the neighbors or causing damage to your ears
  • STRENGTHEN YOUR DRUM TECHNIQUE - While these drumstick dampeners are incredibly lightweight, they do still add a bit of weight which makes your arms stronger and drumming with regular sticks faster
  • BE CLEAR ON WHAT YOU ARE BUYING - We do NOT claim that these drumstick dampening tips will make your acoustic drum kit quieter, rather, these tips are for practicing WITHOUT a drum set as they are designed to replace a larger, more expensive, and more cumbersome drumming practice pad

  • Saved my ears
My son started playing drums and it was driving me nuts until I found these. When I get him to use them it deadens the sound like my soul so I can get a little peace.

  • Perfect for our needs
Love these for practicing with drumsticks on surfaces all over the house. They work great for protecting my furniture and sticks and keeping the sound muffled for everyone else in the house.

  • Work Ok
These drumstick dampeners work ok. They help quiet the drum set a little and anything that helps is worth it in this house. We have two percussionists and we need a break from the onslaught of drumming. These tips help with one of our drummers, the other one still manages to make a ton of noise. It depends on style and the stick I guess. ... show more

  • Work well for cymbals, don’t do much to dampen drum volume
The media could not be loaded. The idea behind these rubber drum mufflers is a good one, however they really only work well on cymbals. The rubber dampens the wash of a cymbal quite well, and you can play your cymbals hitting at normal heaviness and they will remain pretty quiet. However, since the rubber is not super-thick, it doesn’t do a whole lot to muffle the sound of a snare or tom drum; if you play at normal heaviness, you will notice a small amount of volume reduction, but not much. Bundled dowel sticks (like the Promark Thunder Rods) do a better job of dampening drum volume, in my opinion, and allow you to play with more controlled dynamics. I’m glad I gave these a shot, and I love the idea…just wish the result was a little better. ... show more

  • Practice just about anywhere with these tips
Ordered to chuck in the stick bag. I've used other practice tips for drumsticks. Came with two pairs. These fit the sticks advertised. They only struggled a little with an older pair of sticks with a longer tip, but they still stayed on. I've used similar tips to these in the past. They make different surfaces that are solid/dense a little more safer to play on for preserving the tips of sticks, whether it be wood or nylon. The silicone tips take off most of the attack from hitting surfaces so it isn't as "loud". Definitely a handy portable practice pad. These don't add that much weight to the stick at all, but make the stick feel heavier on some surfaces because it also cuts out some of the rebound you'd normally get. That's good for building chops and working on lift, sometimes. In other words, I wouldn't expect to get these and start building forearms like Popeye's. I also wouldn't rely on this to make playing on a kit quieter, either for a gig or practice, since it only is going to remove some of that top-end crack. The drums will still resonate and the cymbals will still ring. For quieting practice time down, I'd recommend getting cutout mutes for each head/cymbal, sheets/shirts also work, or something similar. Overall, these are pretty good in both quality and for usefulness in certain situations. The presentation of packaging and look of the tips was really nice. I threw them on a spare pair of sticks and left them in my bag to pull out when I don't have access to or want to get my pad out. Saves my sticks from getting destroyed by hard surfaces like concrete or metal. Practice. ... show more
