Description

THE MOST TACTILE SWITCHES IN THE WORLD With a name like Holy Panda, these switches had to be epic. Made with stems from Halo Clears or Halo Trues, with the housing found on Invyr Panda switches, Holy Panda switches combine the best of two worlds. The result is a snappy, tactile switch that is satisfying to type on. This time around we won't be pre-lubing the switches. As the original tooling is too damaged to make a new run, this batch will be made with updated tooling. It’s also worth noting that due to the opaque housing, they won’t let as much per-switch lighting through as some switches. The Halo Clear being with a slight preload and a lighter, sharper tactile bump than the Halo True. Halo Clears discourage bottom out, but not as strongly as the Halo True. A good blend of typing and gaming. Medium weight, smooth tactile action, and a purposefully light preload are intended to reduce jarring fingertip impacts during rapid typing. Moderately heavy spring to discourage bottom out. The most tactile switches in the world provide a snappy, satisfying, and versatile typing experience. • Perfect switches for me. Zero QC issues.
Style: 110-Pack
I read a lot of reviews highlighting some quality control issues with these switches, so maybe I was lucky, but I had a perfect experience with them. They were delivered next day, and packaging was solid. They had a layer of foam inside the box to keep the switches in place. Every one of these switches is in perfect working condition, no factory lube whatsoever, no bent pins, and all same size springs. After lubing, they feel and sound exactly like I expected, which is in my opinion the best typing experience you can get to date. Absolutely recommend these switches to anyone interested. Don't let the QC issues scare you. Even if I had to deal with the things other reviewers dealt with, I'd say it's worth it if the end product is as good as this (not to let Drop off the hook, just stating that the product itself is top tier). I do wish they'd lower the price on these considering the other "panda" variations are considerably cheaper and apparently come close in terms of quality. Also, would not say that these are ideal for most gamers. Tactile switches usually aren't, so I'm not sure why that's even in question. Not to say you can't game with them, of course. I game occasionally, mostly FFXIV or Vermintide 2, and I think tactile switches work fine for me. However, most "hardcore" gamers tend to prefer linear switches, which these are not. For clarity on the image, I bought a new board to put these switches in, so no I was not using Gateron blues. That's just what came with the board, which didn't matter to me since I knew they were getting tossed regardless. Also included a photo of my finished board so you all can admire it's beauty. 😁 All parts can be found here on Amazon btw. Keycaps are Tokyo World Tour by Akko, board is RK100 by Royal Kludge. Hope this review is helpful to some. Enjoy your holy panda switches. 🐼 ... show more

  • Latest batch QC is better but springs still unequal lengths
Style: 110-Pack
I was worried that my set of switches would have the same QC issues that were stated in the past few months, such as broken stem legs, unequal spring lengths, and poor packaging causing the switches to look like they exploded in the box, but after inspecting half of the set I received, it's been very good so far. The switches arrived neatly packed, with all the switches sitting in the black plastic rails topped with 1/2" thick packing foam to keep everything in place. All of the switches I opened had the most minimal trace of a thin lube applied, but I found it to be a non-issue and it seemed it was at least consistent. I would be applying my own lube to these switches anyway, but at least the lube that was applied from factory was both very minimal but consistent across all switches I inspected. The only issue or inconsistency that I shared with other negative reviews were that many of the springs had unequal free lengths. I would approximate 25% of the springs were about 2-3mm longer in free length vs the majority. However, in actual usage of the switches, the actuation and bottom-out forces are not noticeable. They all feel and sound the same when used straight out of the box. Less than 5% of the switches I inspected and tested had audible spring ping, but with lube, this is not an issue. The housings on all switches had no noticeable wobble, so I won't be filming these. Other than the varying spring free lengths and a few switches with spring ping, these switches work, feel, and sound as expected of Holy Pandas. Update: Opened up the rest of the switches and found more inconsistencies. A much larger proportion of unequal length springs. Some switches are more scratchy than others, even after lubing. Although they didn’t need it, I tried applying 0.125mm thick switch films anyway. They fit fine, and the sound is slightly altered. Not better but just different. ... show more

  • Excellent tactile
Style: 70-Pack
I have purchased these, lubed Glorious Panda, and Tecsee Purple panda. This is the best with the other 2 being very close to as good as this. The tactile-ness is a little better than the other both. With the other 2, the tactile is right at the beginning, while this one starts at the beginning and seems to feel the same until bottoming out. All have the nice bump back. I didn't lube these and they sound and feel great. I think this is my favorite tactile now. But if you're on budget, I would recommend one of the others. ... show more

  • Nice for a cost
Style: 90-Pack
Holy pandas are a very (not) affordable switch. These are táctiles from drop. I put them on my gmmk pro and found that these switches are not the best when it comes to gaming as i found them heavy but perfect for typing. The sound signature once I put lube on them made such a nice difference. 7/10 would recommend ... show more

  • Great switch, but pricy.
Style: 90-Pack
I wasn't sure if I wanted these switches or the Glorious Pandas, but I finally decided on the Drop Holy Pandas. They are a great switch, and once lubed, they feel great and have a wonderful sound. They have plenty of tactile feel, and QC was perfect in the batch of 90 I got. The only complaint is the price. ... show more

  • Love that tactical bump!
Style: 70-Pack
First tactical switches I've used outside of cherry browns. Love these, the bump is well defined and right at the top of the keystroke, they feel great! I lubed mine with kyrtox 205g0 and used switch film, sounds amazing!! Only con is they're pricey!

  • Gave out after 8 months of daily use
Style: 90-Pack
Had these switches since late March 2022. They are very expensive, and only lasted less than a year. WASD + any commonly used switches gave out, double type randomly, dont register anymore.

  • Mine were good.
Style: 110-Pack
A lot of weird reviews saying they’re off or something. I dunno if I got lucky or something but my entire batch of 110 came good. No broken stems, no warps. My ONLY complaint is that some of them came with a little bit of lube on the leaf. Like 10-15 of them at most had a little bit of lube that I had to remove but besides that, I love these switches and they came in great condition. I also own Glorious Panda’s. Still prefer the Holy Panda’s. ... show more
