A drone landing pad doesn’t have to be fancy, in fact it’s not even a necessary accessory, but where I live in the desert it has a few positive attributes. This one is a little larger than some of them, however my drone is actually smaller than average, a Mini 3, and having a pad makes for much more secure landings on the rocky uneven terrain we have around here, and a huge benefit is it helps control the dust the props stir up. And with a fairly bland landscape it’s easier for the drone to spot the landing pad. This one folds up nicely and doesn’t crease much and has enough heft to stay in place when the wind kicks up a little. The materials are good and it’s a great value compared to some of them. YES NO MAYBE Regardless of it being an economy one this would be near the top of my list of ones to choose. I like it. ... show more

I was really surprised when I opened the package to find that this landing pad was so thick and heavy-duty! When landing in FPV Mode I can see the landing pad with ease. Because this landing pad is made of heavy, thick neoprene, I do not have to worry about whether or my pad is blowing away or the corners blowing over or even staking it down. This is definitely a solid choice and an even better value. I've been waiting to put this to the test, but we've had a run of bad weather. I used to have one of those round landing pads that is held taught with a spring ring. But I misplaced it. It was lightweight, but the shape sometimes made it difficult to store in my bag. So I decided to try this landing pad instead. It's made of a sturdy neoprene with a bright orange surface that adheres well and has the standard landing zone markings. The weight will hold it in place and it's flexible, so you can roll and/or fold it up. Now, about that flexibility... While you don't have to worry about staking it down so it doesn't blow away, it will drape over the surface it is placed on, so if your in an area with uneven rocks, etc., you'll just need to check placement to avoid interfering with the props (and the circular one would probably not stay on place, so it's a fair trade-off). There are a few small creases, but not large enough that they'll interfere with operation. I expect to get a lot of use out of this, easy to place on the grass it other surfaces to provide a protected landing spot and easier to find a space for in my bag ... show more

    • Really nice Landing / Launching Pad - Giant Mouse Pad
I'm really enjoying this landing pad and launching pad for my DJI Mini Pro 4 drone. I like being able to see something soft to land on, and something that is flat and soft to take off from. This thing is a bright colored orange with white letters, and it's easy to unroll and plop on the ground. It's nice that it's like a giant mouse pad, it has some weight to it so it's better than those canvas or tarp like material where you have to stake them down. This pad will stay where you put it, and doesn't even wiggle when the propellers kick in and the drone takes off. It's easy to spot from the air, and gives you peace of mind knowing you're going to land on something soft. ... show more

    • At the end of the day, it's a mat, but that's what you signed up for.
It's a mat, I won't review the functionality much except to say that it does function, it does lay mostly flat and works for the purpose. Orange helps visibility, and it does seem robust and thick, this isn't just like a paper landing pad. That said, it also isn't going to make a completely uneven surface usable either. Dimensions are accurate, 50cm is approximately 19.5 inches. Folded up it is thicker than I anticipated at approximately 2 inches thick. It does fit in my drone carrying case, but barely. Thickness may be relevant if you're trying to pack light when hiking. Overall I will keep it around. ... show more

This drone landing pad has impressed me big time! I def wasn’t expecting the quality to be that great at this price point, but I was totally wrong! The pad is nice and thick as well as soft all at the same time. The pad measures 19.7” X 19.7”. It’s medium orange in color which makes it easy to see. Especially if you’re using your phones screen or remote control with built in screen to land your drone. It makes so drones without an extra accessory like landing gear can land on more surfaces as it lays nice and flat. I was having issues landing on grass as my drones blades would strike the grass. That off course overtime damages your blades, this pad takes that issue out of the equation with its use! I’m completely satisfied with this drone landing pad and think the price point is completely fair, I Highly Recommend this pad to Any drone user as it’s made really well, it Won’t Disappoint that’s for sure! ... show more
