This drone is very easy to control. You do not have to worry about how much throttle. When you start it, it goes up about 3 or so feet and hovers in place. Then you can choose to have it go higher or lower, or just move around. The battery life seems pretty good for a drone and it comes with two batteries that are super easy to swap out. Very nice design. Also, on the photos, it shows how you press in a button to open the battery compartment of the remote. I hate how most controls have a screw that you have to remove in order to change the batteries. This just has a simple button to press in. No screw to keep track of or unscrew. Much better design. The app worked OK. I'm still trying to figure out how to control the drone with the app, but the camera works and the quality seemed pretty good for the price. Overall, it works pretty well. I did try it outside. Would not recommend flying it outside if there is much of a breeze. It is small, so the wind will win. But on a day with no breeze, it worked pretty well. ... show more

This item was purchased as a gift for my son. After reading the instructions, which I think is essential so you know how to properly operate it, it was easy for him to navigate. I like that it has its own camera so he can explore using his app! The quality of the camera is pretty good too. I love that it comes with its own case. He has younger siblings and this drone is not for small kids. The case protects it and keeps it organized. We have not tested the limits of how high it can go, but it goes pretty high from what we have tested. It’s fast, but not too fast for him to keep control of. I’ve never owned a drone before, but I really enjoy photography and wanted to up my game this year on all fronts. This drone was super easy to assemble, the instructions are incredibly detailed but you can tell where things go by just looking at it. It takes a bit of getting use to navigating it, at least for a beginner who also doesn’t play in video games haha. But no more than a few hours and once you get the hang of it it’s easy to control. It’s not really loud or bothersome, and when your using it outdoors, the sound is irrelevant. The battery pack has a decent amount of charge. I played with it for a few hours and didn’t need to replace the battery or charge it! The image quality is nice, I’m quite shocked by it honestly. I enjoy taking this outside and have no issues with connection, so that’s great. I’m so happy I stepped out of my comfort zone and invested in one of these.
