First time buying work boots online. These actually fit, and kept my feet warm through the winter months. The strings are starting to frey now after about 4 months, but that is normal for work boot strings. Comfortable and easy to put on. They should be good for next winter.

My wife purchased these boots at a size 14. I thought for sure they would not fit my 12 W foot. However it did and I like them. It has so far been impressive and worth every penny, a pleasant surprise. The size chart for a 14 showed 12.6. However it figures, a happy customer. I needed these boots for work but I was tight on money. They got me by for a month before I started to have major issues. I finally bought proper boots and the difference in quality and comfort is almost immeasurable. These work for temporary and cheap boots. Pros: They fit as expected. Kept my feet dry in snow and rain. Easy to clean and wipe off. Cons: (really my full review) Since I first got them, the comfort was just okay. My pinky toe did rub a little on the side of the boot and caused some minor discomfort that was noticeable at the end of a work day. The steel toe is bad, but it's better than nothing. It has saved my toes a few times from accidental kicks or drops. While outside of its intended use case, I used the steel toe to prop up the edge of a dryer. Maybe about 50 pounds of weight or less for 3 minutes. There is a noticeable and permanent sag on that steel toe. Real steel should not have been affected at all so I am curious at what kind of metal quality is bring used. Also after about 13 days of use, the sole started to slide around in the boot and gave me lower traction and increased discomfort. I thought about getting new sole inserts but its really not worth it. The tread of the boots have no grip on smooth flat surfaces such as the metal flooring in my box truck. It is also bad in packed snow and ice. (My new and expensive boots handle these no problem). They also have low traction on smooth surfaces like the finished concrete in a warehouse. There really was no "break-in" period but they did get slightly more comfortable after 2 or 3 days. But, after about 10 days they started to get more uncomfortable to wear including issues like mentioned above with the soles sliding. Overall, if you need temporary boots like I did or if you will rarely use them, I would recommend it. However, I fully recommend investing in more expensive and quality boots if and when you are able. ... show more

Ok, I`ve been wearing these boots for almost 8 months now and now I can write a review. First; I put my own arch support in which means I had to cut theirs off so it would fit. Second; It takes about one minute or less for the feel of my arch to feel comfortable. Once that's good then I can wear them all day with no problems. Third; When they say "no slip" they really are no slip. I work on wet floors with no fear of slipping. When I`m in the freeze and I`m carrying 70lbs of boxes I don`t worry that I`ll slip. Fourth; There is no sign of the boot coming apart like all the other boots that I`ve had had done. So it looks like I finally found a work boot that I will stick with, considering I already purchased 4 more pairs, so I`m good to go for several years. ... show more

    • New design is terribly uncomfortable

I had bought these boots a couple of years ago before they were updated, and that previous pair was outstanding. I walk anywhere from 6,000 to 23,000 steps a day on concrete, and the first pair held up well outside of putting in some new insoles at one point and having to replace the laces. And they were comfortable. So when those finally started to show some wear, I was happy to replace them with the updated model that now shows on the product page. Unfortunately, these new boots are not good. They look fine and so far are holding up, but the insole is horribly flawed. It's hard to describe the problem clearly, but I'll try. There is basically a ridge on the inside of the insole that drops sharply going in towards the middle of the boot. The effect is that this section of the insole juts up and very uncomfortably puts constant pressure on the inside of the arch of my foot. I thought maybe it would wear in and not be so bad, but it didn't. So I got some insoles hoping that with some extra cushion over the area it wouldn't be so uncomfortable. But it didn't make the problem go away. I just cannot recommend the boots because of what I can only describe as this major design flaw. I don't know what they were thinking with that weird hump in the insole. Maybe it was supposed to provide support for your arch? But whatever the plan was, it is a failure. Now I'm left trying to figure out how long I can put up with this discomfort before I have to shell out more money on my limited budget for yet another pair of boots.
