Fun for the whole family, easy for anyone even people who have never picked up a controller in their lives to get the hang of within a few days. Lots of interesting challenges throughout a plethora of different locations in many famous DreamWorks films. Very much like Mario Kart as another reviewer suggested except I would say that this is even better than that as they feature much more beloved characters such as Alex The Lion, Shrek, and Hiccup to name a few each of which come with their own voice acting (which sound very similar to the actual actors, kind of like the TV show versions of the films) and remarks referring to every character by name making the experience all the more immersive! ... show more

No PS5 features: adaptive triggers, Haptic feedback (rumble) or 3d audio Basically Mario Kart 8 with Dreamworks characters with a few additions You still have drift boost, in-air stunt boost, collect music notes (coins in mario kart) to accelerate faster, use of power ups, and similar kart customization Graphics is not as good or polished like Mario Kart 8 No rubberband AI, but when you take damage it takes longer to recover than Mario Kart Power ups are difficult to figure out at first. It’s not like shells in mario kart where you immediately tell what they do Bad comeback mechanic especially in higher difficulty cups. AI is relentless in lighting cup. Unless you’re really lucky; you must not get hit (at all), not bump into any walls, and use all shortcuts and boosts to get top 3 --New game mechanics (different than mario kart): Character banter as you drive pass or bump into them (wish mario kart had this). Makes races/characters more personal. The voice acting is not done by the original movie/series cast, so some characters may sound odd By doing stunts, drifts you build up a special meter (separate from power up) that gives you a random ability. Aside from regular shotcuts there are rainbow short cuts. Gather Lyres (harps?) that magically forms a rainbow road, you continue through the rainbow track and keep collecting Lyres or it turns invisible and you fall off. Others can follow you after you collect the first one, but they must keep up or the road may disappear. Basically advantage to those who grab it first. As mentioned before, bad comeback mechanic and favors those in the lead. Overall fun kart racer. Better for those perfectionists who know there way around the tracks than a casual competitive racer (especially in higher ranks) ... show more
