Background: I currently have a large Siberian Masquerade cat (extremely fluffy and consistently sheds its white hair) and also a new mom to a 6 month old baby. I would sweep, mop, and vacuum throughout the day and each night before bed, to try and maintain a relatively clean floor, but it seemed dooming as the floors hardly ever felt truly clean. I did find that the Swiffer Heavy Duty Dry Cloths worked great in collecting dirt and hair on the harwood, but they are designed for 1-time-use, so they can become expensive and wasteful. I also tried using the washable cloth attachments, but found it felt like I was just “evenly distributing” the dirt around, rather than getting a true clean feeling. I also tried multiple vacuum cleaners, and none collected all my cat’s hair. I had resorted to using a small shop vac to be able to suction all the cat hair out of the carpet, but it was extremely time consuming and laboring. I originally purchased the X30 Dreame, to save some extra money. I found it worked exceptionally well, but it would leave some cat hair behind on the carpet and wasn’t able to clean corners and would leave roughly a 2-3 inch gap from the baseboards… so I decided to upgrade to the X40, as all the upgrades seemed to be exactly what I would have recommended for the X30. Product review: The X40 Dreame has been a complete GAME CHANGER! I will set the X40 to “deep clean” each time I leave the house, and I arrive back to SPOTLESS floors, even the cat hair is GONE! Throughout the day I spot clean areas or individual rooms, as needed. I would consider this X40 an investment, but SO worth it. It is so refreshing to have the additional time throughout the day, and the cleanest floors I’ve ever been able to maintain. The SideReach technology on the X40 is worth the extra money in itself, from the X30, in my opinion. The bristle extension cleans those hard to reach areas, and truly makes a difference in the appearance of your floors. The extra suction was also necessary for me, in order to collect ALL the cat hair in the carpet. Some additional upgrades I wasn’t expecting is a better app presentation, although the X30 app does work perfectly fine, the X40 is a cleaner looking app layout. I found the cleaning solution actually smells better too when pouring it in the tank, like fresh laundry, although I cannot smell the solution while it’s cleaning. 10/10 recommend the X40 Dreame, as an excellent investment piece to replace ALL your floor cleaning products! ... show more

Had this Robot for 2 months & it works very well, almost effortless. I change out the water every couple days & follow the maintenance alerts on the app. Have it scheduled to automatically clean common areas at night and Bedrooms early mid day. Vacuum has great suction on all floor types. Very accurate navigation and efficiency, battery recharges quick too. The unit fits into most tight spaces and cleans corners well. ... show more

    • My issue was resolved by customer service
I was so excited to buy the most expensive robot vacuum on market, was hoping it’s that good and worth the price. I ordered it from Amazon and received it 2 days later. I wasn’t been able to use it for about 2 weeks because we were moving to a different apartment. When we finally used it, we loved the performance and it was cleaning pretty well, so I was happy in the beginning. Then I started to notice that it doesn’t pick up everything and leaves derbies behind. When I program it to clean a few rooms, it would circle around in one spot for a while in the first room and then skips the rest of the room- going to the next one. When I opened robot, I noticed that it doesn’t automatically emptying to the station, never did (I didn’t notice it from the beginning of using it), the trash bag is completely new, and all dirt was stuck in the vacuum. I used this vacuum about 3 times when I contacted customer support, and it was barely over 30 days window that passed for return, they are telling me they are going to repair it. Really??? Repair brand new $2000 robot when it’s clearly manufacturing defect??? I have never seen such terrible customer support for a very expensive product! I own Dyson for more than 3 years, and once i had with motor, it was one month left until the end of warranty, and they sent me brand new vacuum. Can’t compare those customer services. Stay away from Dreame! They have too many issues! UPDATE: I have been contacted by customer service and offered a replacement for a new machine. Received it in a few days, and problem has been resolved. New machine works great. Thank you for keeping your customers happy!!! ... show more
