It took about 3-4 months to break in the mattress to where it wasn't hard as a rock and painful to sleep on. Once broken in, it's great!

After years of cycling through zinus mattresses I invested in this on the rec of a friend. It's another level- I'm a big guy so foam mattresses have sinkholes after a year and are worn out in 2. This provides great support on my side or stomach and is totally worth it so far. Not sure on longevity yet but I hear good things. ... show more

I’ve had dream cloud before and lived it. Maybe it’s because there is a big person on each side of the bed and a lot of little animals in the middle that the mattress sags in the middle. But I don’t think so. The moment I let it set for 72 hours the mattress still had not firmed up on the sides. Full in the middle though! That’s good. ... show more

Builds up heat over nite and becomes too hot. Top layer delaminated fm mattress and created a lump in the middle. Nice when new, but does not hold up for the long run.

I did a lot of research when we decided we needed a new mattress, and this one seemed like a good fit. And for the first few weeks I was really happy and sleeping better. However, around the one month mark, I started noticing back, hip, and shoulder pain again. I’ve tried adjusting my sleep position and pillows, but that hasn’t changed anything. I toss and turn all night, and I’ve also noticed that the longer we’ve had it (about 10 weeks now), the more it tends to indent in the place you lay the longest. I end up rolling toward my husband, or if I’m sleeping alone, I can roll to one side of the bed and feel like I’m almost rolling uphill to a much firmer place on the mattress. At this point, I’m mostly just glad I researched and went with a mattress that has such a generous return policy. As far as buying a “mattress in a box,” though, I was impressed with the process. It arrived and set up very easily with no issues, and it was its normal size quickly. Like many reviews, we noticed that the edges of the bed are not very firm and you sink very low if you’re sitting there. ... show more

    • Easy Returns but Extra Items Might Hinder That a Bit
We bought this mattress back in September and I have been struggling. My husband loves it but my back is killing me every morning, the closer to the middle I sleep the better it is for my back but then that leaves so little room for him and it's not fair. So we finally called it and decided to return it. The return was simple online and they called to schedule a pick up time for the returned mattress. We did run into some hiccups with a $130 restocking fee after the 30 day window but it turned out it was because we had ordered other items at the same time and those didn't have the 100 day return window that the mattress has (through Amazon policy). The woman helping us was excellent and covered all of the possibilities so they'll make sure we get the full refund. My only suggestion to you, if you decide to purchase this, is to purchase it by itself JUST IN CASE!
