Listen, I HATED spending this much on a blanket but due to some very extreme hormonal changes myself and my husband having always been a walking space heater, I was desperate. I CANNOT sleep without something over top of me. That’s how the monsters get you. I don’t need my ankle being snatched by the babadook in the middle of the night, so I ordered this blanket with some cooling sheets. How???? How does this work??? I don’t know, and honestly, I keep reading the word nasa and at this point I assume it’s out of my intellectual skill levels to understand. But I do know this! This blanket stays COLD. The first night we slept under this blanket we both slept like boulders. Not rocks. Boulders. He didn’t get hot from my radiating super heat and aside from having to steal the blanket back from him (and my side of the bed), no heat problems! I was seriously thinking I’d have to sleep somewhere else for the summer, but this has solved the problem! Also this blanket is STUPID soft and comfortable so be prepared to fight over it. Full warning we discovered - if your husband/partner is a snuggler like mine and they manage to trap you underneath it while they’re sleeping, you WILL die of a heat stroke lol. I don’t know how the temperature regulation works but as soon as you wrap that around something putting off heat it makes it ten times hotter. I guess that’ll make it good for winter too! ... show more

I have been looking for years for a light weight summer comforter with a satiny soft feel. I finally found it with this product. It is very high quality and the fabric feels wonderful against the skin. I will be buying more of these!

OK, from the start, it's actually a GREAT comforter that does "Breathe" a lot better than most, meaning it's not stifling, overbearing weight, etc. THAT said, "Cooling" is a stretch of a claim, unless You mean "Keeps You warm without strating to sweat" in which case, YES, it's "Cooling" comforter. A good quality Down product does the same thing (albeit at $400 or more) so if You are on a budget, etc this may actually be a good solution ... show more

Are you a human furnace? Do anemics and cats glue themselves to you? If you're like me, I transformed into a human furnace due to medication. We thrive without layers/heat in the winter but this backfires because we struggle with comfortable sleeping temperatures. I don't wake up drenched in sweat or suffocating, just feeling a bit warm with an uncomfortable sweat 2-3 times a night. With a $279.99 price tag (queen) I am not sure if the average furnace would be willing to give it a try so I will test it for us. Can you relate? Please continue reading! Pros/notes: * Temperatures in my state in MARCH are around have fluctuated between 20-50F... *** -The first touch was shockingly cool, and temperatures did not rise from friction/petting the material (this means when tossing a turning, I'm not stoking a fire) -AMAZINGLY soft, I don't know how to describe it, I have very plush/dense fur cats, and it is comparable but not the same. It must be what a cloud feels like... if clouds were more solid -I only wake up twice now and without sweat! Wow... I'm waking up feeling at ease with temperatures (I am enthusiastic that this will work well with air conditioning in the summer) -Hasn't produced static (yet) -You won't need a duvet -I would be so happy to get this as a gift though, the packaging is very giftable Cons/Warnings: -I have a habit of "burritoing" myself. DO NOT burrito yourself, think of this blanket as the aluminum wrap to a burrito. It will keep the heat trapped in it with you. -It's so light!! Sometimes I can't even tell if I have a blanket on me and this is very odd if you're transitioning from weighted to this literal cloud -I am NOT menopausal; I would never attempt to try this for relief. The brain will likely be more powerful than the blanket. Under normal circumstances, I would hesitate to buy this for myself because worth and personal experience are both relative, it's still a coin toss and this is very expensive. The real test will be in the summer (I will update my review). Overall, I am really happy with this blanket. Its great when I am in temperature zen, especially when sleeping. *End of March 2024 update: Weather continues to be relatively cold in my state. I usually can't wear a long sleeve/pants to bed because I'll be cooked alive. Sleeping with tank top and shorts WAS a requirement. Miraculously, with this blanket... I CAN DO SO WITHOUT WAKING UP HOT! This newfound ability was unlocked thanks to my outlast blanket +1 star if I could 💙🌟 (less laundry too, haha...) My husband and I have tried this comforter out for a few weeks now, trying to get an accurate assessment of it. Over the past few weeks here the weather has varied from very cool at night (40's F) to warm (60's F). We have used this comforter with a sheet below it to keep it clean and one above it to prevent cat hair etc getting on it. It is too thin to enclose it in an actual comforter cover. At first the results were mixed, I was getting too warm at night (I suffer from night sweats occasionally) and my husband was getting too cold. By about the second week, when the night time temperature was warmer, we both were getting too warm at night and had to kick our feet out from under the covers to cool off. The blanket also bothered us because it's very smooth and slips and slides all over the bed each night. Apart from that, it is a well made thin comforter that would suffice perhaps with just one person in a smaller bed with it tucked in firmly to anchor it in place. Neither of us experienced any of the alleged cooling properties in this comforter so I cannot vouch for that at all. At that high price point, I do not think this is worth the money. ... show more
