This is my review of Drain Auger, Plumbing Snake With Drill Adapter, 35ft Heavy Duty Flexible Sink Steel Drum Auger and Drain unblocking Snake, Manual Or Powered With Work Gloves and Storage Bag-Not auto feed and back. This product is a toy compared to a professional plumbers powered auger. That is not to say it is not a good product or not made well. It is well made and can work to unclog a drain. I have a heavy-duty hundred foot auger but I needed a smaller one and I thought this one would thread through the top of the drain. It does not. I still ended up having to remove the p-trap to get access to the clog in the plumbing line. A power drill attaches to the auger nicely. Unfortunately, my clog was further than 35 ft and I was unable to unclog it. For short plumbing clogs I am sure that this auger would do the job. And it is not a big deal to reinstall the auger into the heavy metal case. It's a dirty job but you may save a bunch of money. I say give it a try. ... show more

    • 35 feet long was what I needed. My 25' one wasn't long enough to reach the clog.
Works great. The design of the cutter tip works really well, it is very flexible and was much easier to feed than my 25 foot snake auger. I purchased this because my 25 foot snake was not long enough to each te clog. The 35 foot reach of this is great an cleared my clog quickly. I priced and researched many drain augers like this one. This was priced competitively and does the job well. I had some drains that I have cleaned partially because I could’t get down too far. Now that I can go 35 feet, I am clearing a lot that I did not know was there. The drains work great now that I have used this item!!! ... show more

Drain snake works and I like the 35 foot size. The arbor or tip has the ball at the end which is better to remove more debris compared to the one I currently have which does not have this feature from the big box store. What I do not like is the handle which is very small and makes it uncomfortable to hold in my big hands. This one also uses a bolt to lock the snake. There are others which use a push rod or a hand lever to lock the snake which is easier to operate. Thank you for taking the time to read my review and photos of this product. WHAT’S INCLUDED: -Drain Auger -Pair of Disposable Gloves -Storage Bag PRODUCT/THOUGHTS: This Drain Auger works, but there is some learning curve to it if you use the drill option. The label that is on the front of the auger has the instructions on the back of it, so make sure you check that out. Essentially it goes this way -Loosen up the thumb screw -Pull out the snake and insert it into the drain -Follow the instructions on keeping the auger a bit above the drain and keep the auger cable in the middle -Tighten the thumbscrew -Start using the hang crank in a clockwise motion OR use your drill on the drill attachment, BUT make sure you go very slow when you pull the drill trigger. If your drill starts ratcheting, then you’ve gone too fast. It has to be slow. (make sure you are holding the front handle) -When you're done, loosen up the thumb screw again and pull the snake back by hand. The only thing I wish this had was a mechanism to pull the cable back in. That would have been cool but it’s not the end of the world. They give you some “environmentally safe” gloves if you need a pair so you don’t have to handle whatever you pull out of the drain with your bare hands. No one wants to do that. And everything is stored inside the zipper storage case it comes with. Works out well enough. ... show more

Having snaked plenty of drains, I can certify that this is a good snake - perfect for a homeowner. The main part of snaking a drain is pushing the snake into the drain -- for this, you don't care much about the turning or drum ... you mainly want to push the flexible snake down the drain until it stops at a clog (or gets hung up at a bend). Once you reach a stop or a clog, then the auger comes into play: you tighten the thumbscrew and begin turning the red handle (or start your drill turning slowly). The screw of the auger will dig into the clog (or pull the snake past the bend) and soon, the drain will be unclogged. Since this is mucky drain work, it's happy that a set of rubber gloves comes with this auger. Instructions are on the back side of the label ... but if you haven't snaked a drain, look for an online video to show you how to do this. I might mention: this, along with a toilet plunger, would make an excellent gift for a new homeowner or a house-warming party! ... show more
