  • So good, I bought them twice (but I had to buy them twice)
Size: 8 Color: Black/Black
Loved these boots so much I bought them again - overall, 4.5 stars. The good: - Stylish casual boots. They're clunky and big in the best of ways; if this isn't for you, don't get them. - These worked for hiking, daily wear, and and extremely casual work environment, although I also wore them with a blazer for a business casual look several times. - Lace to fit tightly. - Incredibly comfortable. - Ankle support without being obvious. The initial few wears can be stiff around the ankles; recommend wearing higher socks (hiking height) to protect your skin until the boots soften a bit. This is worth it for the stabilization factor while hiking or walking over uneven terrain. - More sole support than expected. I can and have stood for hours in these boots. I can and have walked for miles as well, including a multi-hotel conference in Las Vegas. No problem, even though I usually need more arch support. - I don't know whether they're specifically waterproof, but they seem to be at least water resilient. I'd come out of a hike with dry feet when my companion was soaked. - Worth the cost - I got my money's worth. - Wore these near daily, and the boots held up very well until they didn't. The less great: - Wear slightly higher (ankle-height) socks to avoid blisters just above the heel on your Achilles tendon. This need did not go away for me. You can't wear tiny, thin socks and survive in these boots without some pain. It was fine with a good pair of thick running socks that had a fabric tab in the back. I had to purchase these socks, so that was a little annoying. - They squeak. This does not go away, but it does get better. - These boots repelled dust and mud for eight months of constant wear. At the eight month mark, I wore these to a dusty Renaissance festival, and they failed to fully recover. Prior to that, I kept getting asked if I had new boots. - At the eight month mark, the sole on the side also began to slightly separate from the fabric slightly on one boot, right where your foot bends at the toes. I kept my original pair for another four months - wearing them slightly less - and it didn't get worse, so they held up fairly well. - While I'm pretty tough on boots overall, eight months (versus several years) is quite early to have issues with Doc Martens. Extended lifespan is why I switched from Army surplus to Doc Martens years ago. I assume it's because of the fabric material versus leather, but as mentioned, whatever this fabric is, it's quite resilient overall. The cost is also lower on these, so the value is still quite good, considering how much I wore them. Total time elapsed without showing signs of visible wear with near-daily use: eight months. Total time elapsed before purchasing pair number two: one year. TLDR; so good I bought them twice - but I had to buy them twice. ... show more

  • Great quality
Size: 9 Color: Black/Black
Usually a 9.5, got a 9 and it fits great. Might want to size down further if you have thin feet because they are wider fitting than other boots but that’s perfect for me. First boots I’ve bought that I didn’t have to break in. Comfortable from the first try on. Good looking boots and great sturdy quality. ... show more

  • These are great!
Size: 8 Color: Black/Black
I love these boots so much. They’re comfortable and stylish. Good tread and they keep my feet warm. I do have bigger calves so sometimes my calves are red at the end of wearing these but not painfully so. High socks or tucking your pants in would alleviate that. Also the price is great for what you get. I’ve heard you have to break in dr martins but that doesn’t seem to be the case for these. Highly recommend. ... show more

  • Comfortable and true to size
Size: 8 Color: Black/Black
These boots are comfy and have a more tactical style. Haven’t weather tested them but bought them in anticipation of moving to an all season climate. I ordered these in my regular size 8, and a size down after reading so many reviews that state these run big. I returned the smaller size. My regular size fit comfortably with reasonably thick socks. My foot technically fit inside the size 7s but my toe went right to the end which means they’re too small. Once laced properly with a nice sock, my regular size is perfect! I feel these are a great value and can be versatile with many different looks. ... show more

  • Runs big in size
Size: 8 Color: Black/Black
Great boot. Very comfortable and wide toe box, however the sizes run big. I'm typically a 7.5 in shoes so I figured an 8 would be best choice, I was absolutely wrong.

  • So comfortable and SO CUTE!
Size: 5 Color: Peach Beige Extra Tough 50/50
These are adorable! Nice peachy-pink color. I didn't like the yellow laces so I changed them to brown. I have wide feet so these fit great. I wear them with a thicker socks. I've had no break in needed. I've walked over 5 miles at my job in these without any issues.

  • Comfy and Versatile
Size: 6 Color: Black/Black
I ordered because I wasn't looking for a standard pair of docs to break in, I wanted something more cushioned and good for winter. I've worn these for about a week and I am satisfied for the cost. I will say sizing down was the way to go. I'm typically a 6.5 and wear a 7 in other docs, but a size 6 was plenty roomy. I can wear thicker socks or double up if I need to and still be snug and cozy. I've only really dressed these down and casual, but I do think you could probably dress them up. I'm wearing the black on black with black soles. I would not mind adding another pair of these to my winter shoe collection. They can be a little heavy, but I expect that with most docs and others boots this style/ thickness. Also, I started with a slight pinch on my pinky toe in 1 boot, but it's quickly softening over time and doesn't prove to be that annoying. ... show more

Size: 9 Color: Black/Black
My first pair of Dr Martens and I am in Love. Great quality, especially to wear to work. The price was cheaper than expected, so that was a plus! The style is cute and simple perfect work casual wear or work. The heel height is ideal. With the right socks they keep your feet nice and warm. I am now a fan of Dr. Martens! ... show more
