I'm very impressed with these Better Blister Bandages. I've tested one of these out as if I had a blister and I am confident that these will be a huge help me to me when the need arises. In the past, not knowing something like these bandages existed, I dealt with blister situations not very successfully using regular band-aids. I won't ever be doing that again. What makes these bandages different and so effective is that they are made of hydrocolloid. To my understanding, the inner part of hydrocolloid bandages works to maintain the right level of moisture for healing, while the outer layer creates a seal that keeps bacteria and dirt out. This hydrocolloid material is interesting because it has a thicker and more rubbery and more cushioned texture than band-aids I've used. The packaging also indicates that these bandages were created by doctors. To test these out, I placed one of the large sized bandages on the back of my heel, holding it in place with my palm for 5 seconds, per the instructions, and made sure it was sealed everywhere. During the morning and afternoon, the bandage was exposed to some water for several hours due to slightly wet socks and sneakers while working on an outdoor cleaning project. And by late evening, the bandage was still in place. Each of these bandages is very well packaged and the box contains 3 different sizes. I will be making sure I take a few of these with me on the gardening jobs I work on so that I'm prepared in the event of getting a blister (which has happened in the past). For something that I feel actually provides long lasting skin adhesion and cushioning and other hydrocolloidal benefits, versus some regular band-aids that quickly fall off, these bandages are absolutely well worth the price, and I highly recommend them. ... show more

    • Need to make sure and press it down so it adheres
The Dr. Frederick's Original Better Blister Bandages - 24ct - Value Pack has a great variety of sizes. I thought the quality was excellent. Although I would have rather seen it in a plastic storage container instead of just in a box so the adhesion lasts and they stay sterile. I noticed that some of the reviewers said it did not adhere and came off within minutes. For myself, I did not find that to be the case. When I put it on my heel, I made sure and pressed down the edges and held my hand on the bandage. A lot of these type of adhesives needs the warmth of your hand to really adhere well. It does indicate on the instructions to hold down the edges for at least 5 seconds. I press down on the entire bandage for about a minute, the first concentrating just on the edges. I made sure my feet were dry and I had no lotion or moisturizer on my feet, which would prevent this from adhering. It adhered to my heel like a second skin and I had loose socks on. Hours later it still is in the same place. Although these are waterproof, I do think if you're doing running and your sweating a lot, that you might need to wear more compressed socks to keep this in place. There are OK bandages. They cover a larger area than a normal bandage but don't stick as well around curvy spots. I have a blister on the top of my foot near the toe and while this bandage helps so it doesn't hurt as much, the bandage doesn't stick super well there. Great bandages for blisters. It never fails, I find shoes I adore but they don't fit right and I end up with blisters. I've used regular Band-Aids before, bought a slick stick made to prevent blisters yet it none of it works and I end up with blisters no matter what. Regular Band-Aids usually come off immediately upon walking a few steps and if I am lucky enough to get one to stay put, it comes off when I bathe or shower. These are wonderful as they stay on and don't budge. They're very comfortable too! I hardly notice I am wearing it. They are also easy to remove and don't leave a bunch of sticky residue on my skin. I will buy these again and again or atleast until I am smart enough to buy well fitting shoes and don't need them any more. These are definitely something I'd highly recommend to others. My feet are very blister prone and my goto blister protection was Leukotape. But Leukotape doesn't transport well because once you unroll it, it doesn't stick well afterwards, which makes transporting a small amount of it troublesome. These blister bandages are easily transportable and I tried them out this weekend treking in the snow. They worked very well. It doesn't stick as well as Leukotape but as long as I cleaned my skin before applying it, it seemed to last all day. Having individually wrapped blister bandages makes it a great fit to keep some in your car or backpack when you are on the go, or in your first aid kit with the rest of your first aid essentials. All 3 sizes included give enough range variety in the size of the blister you need to protect. This is a much safer way to let your blisters naturally heal, and to prevent further soreness and possible infection from an accidental popping of the blister. They feel very nice over top of my small blisters I'll develop from my daily walks, and really enables me to keep going on these exercises. ... show more

These pads don’t seem to adhere to feet as well as a different brand I occasionally use, nor is the padding as thick. I will use them as needed, but won’t re-order.

    • Good to have in your bag
These are a great item to keep with you in your toiletry bag regardless of where you go. They are pretty basic in terms of blister bandages and I don’t find that they’re adhesive. This is any stronger than other brands, but they do the job for as long as you need them to to get to where you’re going without really hurting your foot. Overall, they do their job and are a good price in comparison to others on the market. ... show more
