  • My houseplants thrive in this potting soil mix!
Item Package Quantity: 1
My houseplants all do really well in this soil. From starter seeds to transplanting, I love this stuff. It's consistently made with a great texture and it's never moldy or rancid like some other brands I've tried. I also love Dr. Earth's mission. They are very eco-friendly.

  • Sticks and stones baby
Item Package Quantity: 1
If you are good with a bag of dirt and sticks, stones, clumps of roots, and anything else you would get if you gathered your own dirt up from the bed of a forest, then you will be thrilled with this stuff. It was unusable for the stage I needed it for at the time of purchase, however once you jump to a 5, 7, or 10 gallon container for your plants you can't beat this stuff for being the second layer soil. That assumes that you use some type of lava rock, ceramic discs, river gravel, or bio balls as a bottom layer. If your growing plants that don't have any issues with root rot, bad bacteria, or water staying around the roots for too long, then skip the bottom layer and just run with this stuff. It leaves air pockets, and it's not gonna ball up and turn into the place where water comes to stay. Which means that it is great for getting good drain fields going. You are going to love it if you are planting trees outside or growing them up in the house to move outdoors later. Also this is great for those plants that thrive when they are under heavy tree cover. This stuff is like going home for anything that grows well in the forest or under a lot of shade. Don't pass this stuff up if that's your thing. ... show more

  • My aquatic plants are growing.
Item Package Quantity: 1
I'm new to aquarium plant, keeping originally I was using very expensive stratum to grow my plants, it works, but the price is way out of my budget. I was reading some reviews about Stratum and someone was talking about using dirt without fertilizer, so I wanted to give it a shot and I am so happy I did I can see some of the roots growing in the dirt through the glass and my plants have grown several inches in the past week its the best plant growth I've ever had I am using liquid fertilizer and route tabs and CO2 but the this dirt is just doing wonders for my aquarium. I will be purchasing more for my 30 gallon aquarium that my plants are not doing well in. I do want to add though there was a few larger pieces of sticks but that wasn't really a big deal I would definitely recommend this soil not just for gardening outside or inside, but for your aquariums as well. ... show more

  • Soil?
Item Package Quantity: 1
This product looks like it's almost as much "mulch" (or more) than soil. . I have never had potting soil in this consistency. Maybe it works well, but I just thought people should know it isn't primarily soil. . Update = I potted some tomato seedlings in this, and they hardly grew. I'm not sure what this designed for, but it isn't like any potting soil I ever used. It has the consistency of chipped wood with some topsoil, very crumbly. Doesn't seem like dirt, but rather like dressing. ... show more

  • Very Good Price
Item Package Quantity: 1
This product was just what I needed for my spring outdoor plants. Its organic and not scented which is extremely important to me because there are some potting soils out there that created terrible lung infections due to way too many chemicals in it. Plus it is a very good price.
