I noticed with the level one nipples my newborn kept gulping, spilling milk out of her milk, and coughing at times from going too fast at drinking. She also breast feeds at time from me and would get frustrated because the milk wasn’t coming out fast enough. Her pediatrician and others online swore by using a slow pacing nipple/preemie nipple. After using just once, there is less spillage, less gulping, and she seems more comfortable and satisfied after drinking.
