Bought this for my 2007 Avalanche 5.3 4x4 chasing a misfire, I replaced all spark plugs and wires and coils and no fix. Finally check engine came on, I checked for codes and it gave me P3401 and P3425 cylinder deactivation malfunction. I replaced the “VLOM” valley cover with this one, and it was a night and day difference. No more misfires and runs and idles so smooth. I would recommend replacing if you get these codes, these faulty solenoids will cause the computer to send low fuel and spark to those cylinders, causing a misfire. Updated version. Works great with new GM lifters. Only use GM lifters. Chinese lifters are .002" smaller diameter.
