Ordered this bed for my about to turn 6 year old daughter. I love the Jr loft design and how everything that comes with it tucks neatly underneath if you want it to. My daughter loves that the underneath is like her little chill out cave. The bed was time consuming to put together and it took two adults. The instructions were very easy, we just took our time as to avoid making any mistakes. The items arrived in several different boxes and they were all packaged well with no damage to any of the pieces or missing parts. All pre-drilled holes were where they were supposed to be. We love the grey paint color. The only two things we have noticed that we don’t like are that the paint has a strong smell that after a few months is still present even though it has dissipated a lot, and the bed is very squeaky where the ladder is installed because I think it rubs somehow and I cannot seem to locate the exact spot in order to fix it. Also the 3 drawer dresser it comes with is kind of flimsy and cheap but it doesn’t look it, so that’s ok. Over all we are pleased with this purchase and my daughter loves her new “big girl bed”. Hard to put together fir me, needed two people. Great for my 7 year old! Not too high where she get her taken out by the fan! Sturdy for the price! She had a really small room, so we switched to a normal smaller room, which is a great space saver. This will work for older kids for sure! Love how you can move the dresser and shelf around ... show more

Overall, this bed and the add ons (dresser, shelf, and desk) seem pretty good. Our 5 year old boy loves the setup. Assembly was easy (bed needs two people). Things fit well. We had a much better experience assembling this than we did when assembling IKEA furniture. My reasons for 4 instead of 5 stars are as follows: - There are some sharp corners that should and could have been softened. - The desk add on is not ideally suited for a right handed child if the desk side of the bed is against a wall. The right hand is uncomfortably close to the bed frame. - The final, overall sturdiness of the bed could be a improved. For instance, the bed makes some creaking noises when my 5 year old ~50lb boy gets into it (these may go away over time as the assembly settles in). It also “shakes” a bit when I push on it, more than I expected. ... show more

Putting this bed together was a bit time consuming given there's not a single preassembled element (except for the mattress slats) but the manual with assembly steps was very clear, all parts/nails/screws present and clearly marked, and the overall quality of the materials was very good. Imagine a wooden Lego set on steroids - tons of fun for people loving DIY projects. The assembled bed is really nice. All parts fit perfectly, finished and painted with no noticed flaws. What we liked was that the book shelf and the chest of drawers are not integrated into the frame and can be placed somewhere else in the room for a complete bedroom look. If you prefer to have more compact layout just place them like in picture above. Desk glides in and out smoothly, and we have a medium thick carpet, so the little wheels are coping. The only little weak point we have noticed so far (after 1 week of use) is that the top step of the ladder started looking worn already with paint peeling off. Given that it will be the high use surface it might be necessary to enforce it with some sort of padding/tape. All in all very happy with the purchase and price/quality ratio ... show more

My daughter absolutely adores this bed. Great buy for the value ($500 when we bought it). The surface can scratch a little easy when assembling so be careful. It took both my partner and I to put together the loft, but I did the rest myself. Took about 6-7 hours for everything The loft is sturdy and could hold me (190LBS). The desk rolls out really smooth and easy for my daughter to use (4 years old). The shelf set seems pretty sturdy - we have books and games on them The chest of drawers is the cheapest part. They looks nice on the outside, but the inside of the drawers are made with typical particle board, so try not to stuff them with to many heavy items. All in all a good deal and purchase for a $500 bed with so many add-ons. ... show more

Great size bed in length and height. Has dresser, mini shelves to place toys and books, also a small desk so your kids to do homework or draw. My daughter loves it. Rails are a bit flimsy so jumping off or having kids play around might not work out. Over all great bed!!

This product is very useful and does all it needs to. You need about 4 people for set up, so plan ahead. Part of the wood chipped during set up for one of the bed rails and the dresser drawers are not the best quality. Overall, it's okay.

This bed and furniture set is awesome! We pulled the bookcase and dresser out to the other side of the room so our kiddo could play underneath. The dresser has a surprisingly large drawers; I have pjs and after school pants in the bottom drawer, school pants in the middle and socks and undies in the top drawer. The bookcase is a little more shallow than the dresser, but still holds a good amount of books and decor. The hardest part of the assembly was installing the slats for the bed, but other than that, two people can assemble this in a day. Note: Make sure you test out where you need to place the supports for the edges of the bed to avoid the railing moving. Awesome bed set for a small room! ... show more
