  • I like the game, but need to be older than 5 to really appreciate it
this game is fun, and it's exactly what my kid has been asking for for a while. So I was watching it and when it dropped in price a little bit and snatched it up. My kids grew borde of it fast at first but us parents kept playing and making up new rules. It is on a very small area to balance so it's very wobbly and can be tricky to get things to stay on it. The kids eventually came back to it and liked it. But still only a little interested. They are 5&3. So that may part of it. So I'd say for older than that for sure. But we still have fun with it. The pieces are cute and all are pirates which is adorable and they all store into the box pretty easy. The box has a whole though from there showing off a penguin, that's annoying. But overall we like the game and will play again! My rating 5 star - I really like this item, really made me go wow you should get this 4 star- I like this item and it is fine, but didn't go wow you need this 3 star- this item is alright but has a few flaws 2 star- quiet a few flaws I would totally go somewhere else 1 star- junk no good don't waste your time ... show more

  • Best family game ever.
If you have a family with young and not so young children, this is a game everyone will enjoy. It is loads of laughter for everyone, and when you are not playing the game, it’s a great toy. My 4 year old grandson loves pirates and boats, so when no one wants to play the game he loves to just play with the boat and the pieces by himself. This is a win win. ... show more

  • Challenging to balance and lots of pretend play value too!
Thinkfun Don’t Rock the Boat is a great game. We received it as a birthday gift for one of my children and loved it so much that we gave it to their cousins. Very challenging for little ones and adults but so much fun. My youngest loves to play ship with this and it has led to lots of pretend play. The ship is sturdy and the penguins and other pieces are heavy (variety of weights and sizes to make balancing more challenging) and sturdy. My older children and I spent a while trying to balance all pieces on and have even made up new challenges like: having to place the pieces where they would go on a real ship or having to have something on each plank, crows nest and spacing all pieces so the entire ship is covered. It is a great challenge. All my children love it and love to pretend play with it using some of their smaller stuffed animals. ... show more

  • Fun for the whole family
I bought this for my 5 year old grandson for Christmas. The whole family loves playing with it including his 3year old brother. It’s hard to find games that the whole family can play together especially with little ones. This is a winner.

  • Actually quite difficult, even for adults...
... It was actually more fun for the kids to play with the pieces and ship like dolls because of HOW HARD it is to get the thing balanced enough to start playing.

  • Fun for all ages
Both kids and adults can compete.
