As a parent, finding a toy that both educates and entertains my child is always a win-win situation. And that is exactly what the Space Shuttle toy did. The model is a realistic representation of the actual space shuttle with amazing light and sound effects that kids will love. My child was able to easily relate the toy to the space knowledge he'd learned from his books, making it an educational toy as well. The projection lamp is clear and bright, making it easy for my child to see the details on the toy. One of the best features of this toy is the ability to separate the rocket body and assemble it separately. My kid absolutely loves this feature and spends hours building and dismantling the toy, creating his own imaginary space missions. However, the toy's packaging was a bit disappointing. It arrived in its original box and without proper protection, which resulted in a slightly damaged package. So, if you plan on gifting it to someone, be aware of the packaging. Additionally, it was a bit tricky to put the AAA battery in. Overall, the Space Shuttle toy is a fantastic purchase that offers hours of imaginative play and learning for kids. Truly one of our worst toy purchases. We got this for our son’s birthday- he got it two days ago and it it was already broken in several places after only having it a couple of hours. The pieces for the launch pad hardly stay together at all, the rocket comes apart mid play, several of the figures have already lost arms and pieces are broken off of the rocket. Our son is not super rough on toys and this is the first one we have had trouble with like this. It is an expensive piece of junk that we regret purchasing. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. The Space Rocket toy is packed with fun and interactive pieces that not only stimulate a child's imagination but are also educational. It's the perfect choice for children who love science and space and can also spark a new interest in them. For my 5-year-old grandson, who has a deep fascination with planets, dwarf planets, the Kuiper Belt, and black holes, this toy was an absolute gem. You can use the Space Rocket in various ways: as just the shuttle, with the rocket and boosters, or as just the rocket, adding to its versatility. The feature that stands out the most is the 'realistic' lift-off—complete with steam coming out of the bottom, accentuated by the red lift lights. The sound effects add to the cool factor, enhancing the overall experience. The toy can also be used as a projector for viewing planets and other celestial bodies. Although the quality of the projection is blurry and the images are hard to decipher, I find this to be a minor issue. The rest of the Space Rocket toy is so well-crafted with nice detail and packed with enjoyable features that a blurry projection doesn't really detract from its overall awesomeness. This is a great toy. My daughter is going to love it but when Santa put it together tonight, he discovered he is missing the projector lens and so we can't see any of the projector images. Bummer! Going to try to get the company to rectify the situation.

This toy is great for kids ages 3+ as you get to help them learn about space, planets, etc. The set up was very easy because the instructions were very clear and easy to understand. You will also need to provide 3 AAA batteries. Once it's all set up, let the learning begin! My daughters favorite feature was the slideshow because she got to shine it on the walls and ceilings all the cool photos of the planets. The rocket and astronaut were very fun to play with too. This is a very good gift for Christmas, birthdays, etc. Some of the parts are a little small so I would not recommend this toy to any kid thats under 3 years of age. Other than that, super fun toy and I love that its STEM approved and very educational! ... show more

ETA Update: This set was a huge hit! Skip the decals, it snaps together easily, and you can skip the “blastoff” section with the water, and just add the batteries to the middle section for the projector. (Not a fan of toys w water in them) It’s been played with daily & very much loved. Did require an adult to initially assemble. This has way more pieces and decals than I expected. I assumed it came as just a couple rocket pieces to click together, but instead it is an absolute jumble of parts that require time and commitment to get it all done. It was a huge hit with 7yo boy, who needed help constructing it. Required more time and effort than I planned but appears it will be fun once fully constructed. (Work in progress right now) I wouldn’t buy or gift again. Target audience bar may be set too low also. I paid y gift this to a 3 year old. ... show more
