This item was recommended by the person I got a puppy from. The puppy was 9 weeks old and a miniature dachshund and she pretty much swam in it because it was much larger than her but it's very effective as we traveled for a couple of weeks when we got her so I was taking her everywhere with me including restaurants, stores and outdoor markets. It was a very discreet and convenient way to not only restrain her but have her close to me in public situations. She's now up to 4 months and still fits very comfortably in it which is very helpful. It's got a small pocket on the strap that fits a roll of dog bags and it has a clip that you can put on a collar or harness to prevent the pet from jumping out or from tumbling out if you have to bend down to pick something up. It’s great for the price. Ample room for a small 12 lb dog with longer legs. Takes awhile to get used to for you and your dog(and practice) . Probably not recommended for walks/hikes on hot days!

This pouch is nice but the strap is too long for me as a 5’ 3” person. I had to tie a knot in the strap so it supported my dog closer to my waist as opposed to my hips where he was getting knocked around when I would walk with him. The fabric is knit and stretchy so that makes the pouch hang down even lower once the weight of an animal is in it. Absolutely awesome product and for a low price!! My little girl loves it as much as I do.. plenty of room for her to grow into it and snuggle up and get cozy. There are two buttons that allow you to close the opening enough to ensure pup is safe. Wouldn’t get it if you have a dog over 15 pounds.
