I bought these back in 2022 to have matching family beach towels and they are still holding on strong and in amazing condition! We wash on warm/cool and we do tumble dry, so there is a tiny amount of pilling but these are practically in like-new condition. And for beach towels exposed to sand/rougher conditions, I think that is amazing. Super absorbent, quick to dry, HUGE (I believe we got the XL size because I love a massive towel), but most importantly they fold up so nice & neat. I fold them up as packaged after drying and they are fit easily in our beach bag with plenty of room to spare- try doing that with a traditional towel… We love them so much that when our daughter needed a bath towel bigger than a baby towel but not as large as a standard towel, we ordered their toddler size towel and it is perfect! The kids prints are cute, too! If I had a larger family or a vacation home where we were hosting a lot of guests, I would 100% be stocking up on these babies. I might also suggest for brides having summer weddings- buy these as gifts for guests/your wedding party and pay a local embroiderer to monogram them. I ordered 2 of the size extra large towels for my sons, ages 13 and 10. We go to the pool and travel to the beach often and their regular towels are heavy, bulky, and take so long to dry. These towels are bigger than their others and fold up so much smaller. They're very absorbent and dry quickly. A couple of things to take into consideration....if you're looking for a soft, plush towel, this isn't it. It's made to fold compactly, travel well, and dry quickly, so the material has a thin, microfiber-ish feel. We don't mind this at all, but it is different than your regular beach towel. Also, since these are so lightweight, they do get picked up by the wind easily. I would recommend anchoring them down on the beach or a pool chair because they'll blow away quickly. This is our 6th Dock & Bay towel. We have a family of 5 witg 4 size large towels and 1 medium for our youngest, he's now 13 and almost 6 foot tall so he needed a larger size. We've had these for around 6 years now and have used them on several vacations. They fold super small with a bag so you aren't taking up a quarter of your luggage with a fluffy towel (all 5 of these take up the same as a large beach towel). I purchased a different color for each of us so everyone knows what towel is theirs to use that trip. I purchased this latest one a few weeks ago as a "used-very good". I'm pretty sure it's brand new because it hadn't been unfolded yet. Perfect condition for half the price!! Love the quality of dock & bay, small fold up size and quick drying of these towels. They do have a different feel and texture from the large terrycloth type beach towels. Love this muted navy blue color! ... show more

    • Pretty good towel - a tad overpriced

The towel is soft and thin. I got the xl and it was the perfect size for a pool chair. The towel doesn’t dry as quick as I would have liked but I guess it dries faster than a normal towel. It folds up really small and it doesn’t smell after using it for 2 weeks on a beach vacation. Sand does stick to it if the towel is wet. Maybe this is an obvious thing but I wasn’t expecting it since this towel claims to be sand free. When the towel is dry you can shake the sand off. It’s a good towel but knowing what I know now I wouldn’t have paid $31… but I’ll keep it bc it was good to have ... show more
