  • One of the most useful pole attachments
Size: Head Only - No Pole
We had some branches that were getting really overgrown against our house. But they were so high up that there was no way we could get to them. I thought we'd have to have a tree company out, until I found this saw attachment. I use this with a Mr. Longarm telescoping pole and it works really well. The blade is sharp and cuts through branches like butter. I was able to completely clean up our tall overgrown branches with this thing, and in a very short time. It took longer to clean up the cut-off branches than it did to saw through them. It was easier to use than I expected, perhaps due to the sharpness of the blade. To be fair, the branches I was cutting were mostly around an inch or so thick, so nothing particularly large. I also find this saw to be useful even without the pole. It cuts better than anything else I have, so I also use it on branches that I don't need a pole for. I'd like it if the whole thing was metal rather than just the blade. Despite the plastic, so far it seems to be quite sturdy and I've not had any signs of weakness from it. I'm really glad to have found this pole saw attachment. ... show more

  • Awesome saw!
Size: Head Only - No Pole
This saw is great. I was able to cut down 3 small trees with the pruning saw and trim a lot of vines. I was also able to cut 10 branches from a chestnut tree that were hanging over my property and the roof of my garage. The thickest branch that I was able to cut was about 5 inches in diameter. I also used the saw to cut up some of the branches into smaller chunks once they were cut. It is very sharp and easy to use. The extensions work very well and are stable. However, there is something to be aware of: When cutting a thick branch, the saw blade can get "pinched" between the two halves of the branch. This can cause the saw to get stuck and if this happens while the saw is in the extension, then the extensions can get disconnected from each other and your saw blade can end up stuck in the tree. This happened to me once, but I was able to rescue the saw blade. This isn't meant to discourage you from buying this product - it's an amazing saw! But just be aware that this might happen. To keep this from happening, make sure to tighten the screws in the extensions often, and don't rush while cutting branches. Overall, this saw is a lifesaver and I was able to do the whole job myself without hiring outside help. I highly recommend this saw! ... show more

  • Multiple ways to attach
Size: Head Only - No Pole
This is a 4 star product from a company with 5 star customer service. They also make the excellent BIG-REACH Pole Hook (NEW!), which also screws onto a broom handle. I like the concept of this saw alot, but wish it had more parts made of metal like their Pole Hook does. The engineer in me would have also designed this a little differently here and there, but overall it cuts well for how 95% of people will use it, and they need to make this at a price point that the masses will buy at. With that said, I don't consider this cheaply made or not sturdy (the plastic is hard and seems pretty tough), its just that a deluxe version would have been worth it to me. That would have mostly meant that the part you screw the saw into was made out of metal rather than plastic. I find the metal "female" on the Big Hook to have accepted more acme thread varations and was more usable with a variety of "standard" broom handles (which maddenly have some slight variability even when advertised as "Acme standard" thread). I would have also enjoyed a true "sheath" for backpacking with it, which it appears to have had at one time based on some older reviews. What it comes with now is a thin cardboard sleeve/"sheath". Some of the older reviews also said there were instructions on how to pop out the thread plug so that you could also put a stick into the hollow handle if you were backpacking, etc. Those instructions seem to be gone now, but yes, you can pop out the black thread plug without a lot of effort or causing damage, exposing the hollow handle's insides that you can then put a stick in almost all the way to the saw blade and then screw down. With the plastic providing several inches of stability, it works fairly well. There is screw you need to remove to pop out the thread plug, super easy. The extra blade makes this a good value. ... show more

Sharp, quick shipping, and like the versatility of being able to take off pole and use as a hand saw! Fair price as well!

  • Does what you expect.
Size: Head Only - No Pole
I put it on a pole and trimmed some trees. It did what I needed and saved money by not hiring it out. Very sharp and went thru branches quickly.

  • Needs to be thicker.
Size: Head Only - No Pole
Saw needs to be thicker, it’s too flimsy/bends to easy. The saw worked as designed. PRO: The saw attaches to extension pole and has set screw lock. Value for money good. Convenient to use as hand saw

  • Cuts easily and quickly
Size: Head Only - No Pole
I’ve cut several 3-4” diameter cedar branches no problem, it works quickly. One note, the instructions say to use this on a docapole with a metal tip (not the plastic adjustable one). Mine didn’t have a metal one, the plastic one only lasted for about 5 branches- so make sure you can switch the docapole to metal ... show more
