  • Best 3d experience I have had so far
Not a big fan of 3D and I have often found it very distracting when following the story line of the movie (e.g. when I watched Avatar 3D in the theaters) - additionally seating matters and you need to be close to the center as possible. I had purchased the Optoma HD141X 3D DLP Projector about 2 years ago, connected it to a HTPC using HDMI projected on a 120" screen. I finally decided to give active 3D a try and bought a 4 pack of refurbished glasses at about 40% off. After finally figuring out how 3D works when using a HTPC (see below), I watched Batman vs. Spiderman on 3D, and I was pleasantly surprised - best 3D experience so far. None of the crappy Anaglyphic 3D or passive 3D I experienced in theaters. The major drawback is that light in 3D is reduced roughly by half, and you need a very dark room to enjoy the experience. These glasses did not need any emitter and all I had to do was choose the DLP Link option on my projector, and turn on the power on these glasses. One caveat - turn on the glasses AFTER you start the movie, not before. I have had sync issues (flickering) other way around. For those who are planning to use this through a HTPC connected to a DLP 3D projector, here are the basics. 3D video is encoded as two halves arranged in either Side by Side (SBS) or Over and Under (OU), which only a 3D capable projector/TV knows to decode into a single 3D image and emit a signal to an active glasses to control the polarizing shutter glasses to switch visibility to one eye at a time at a high frequency which gives the 3D perception. You may see files in half H-SBS/H-OU (typically 3D files downloaded over the internet) or full F-SBS/F-OU (typically 3D Bluray discs), which simply refers to how much resolution is used to encode the two halves of the video; full obviously being better than half. Using a HTPC, my projector did not automatically detect which of these formats were being used using "Auto" mode, which I suspect only works properly with actual 3D Bluray players. I had to manually set the format in the projector menu options. You can play the bluray or media file using any player (VLC, MPC-HC, MPC-BE w/MadVR) through HDMI as long as everything in the chain is 3D compatible (including an AVR if you are using one; I use the Denon X3200W). ... show more

  • Great DLP Glasses for my BenQ V7050i
These are well built and work perfectly for my DLP BenQ V7050i ultra short throw projector. I like them better then the more open styles out there. I will buy more if needed! They are comfortable and worked well over my prescription glasses. My other family members liked them better also over other ones I had for my non-DLP JVC projector. ... show more

  • Benq HT2050A read if you have sync problems
I bought 10 pairs of these after returning the older style oem Benq glasses. These glasses block ALL of the red shift (DLP signal) on my 135" projector screen and the picture looks great once you adjust the colors. On a black scene, it stays black. I had some sync issues on certain movies on bright scenes, mostly animated snow scenes, such as the opening scene of Despicable Me 2 and Rise of the Guardians snow fight. UPDATE: I solved the problem by removing about 15 points of green and testing dynamic color on and off. Removing the green points made the picture look great since the glasses already havr a green tint. Contrast and brightness at 50 and 51. .. running the projector on SmartEco mode so I have plenty of brightness. I also added about 5 points of Red color adjustment. No more sync issues. I am using a Benq HT2050a. Only complaint is these can be a little uncomfortable on the bridge of your nose. The rubber nose pads sit flush with the plastic glasses housing so I'm not sure sure what the point is. However, these sync up really fast and provide a clear picture. They also fit over my prescription glasses easily. And no "multiple presses" of the power button like other brand glasses. One press on, one press off, easy for guests to operate and enjoy the absolutely amazing 3D on a 135" screen! ... show more

  • Does not work with JVC Projectors
I had a lot of trouble finding 3D Glass that work with my JVC Projector. Please note that these glasses will NOT work with JVC Projectors so I had to return them. Hopefully this helps someone else avoid purchasing and then returning these glasses. I am sure they are wonderful glasses when used with the proper equipment. ... show more

  • Great price and great quality
These 3D glasses are perfect. They don't need to be charged very often, and I have yet to have one issue with them. They sync up instantly and work just as I would expect. Reviews of other brands complained that the glasses were too dark, but I don't find that to be the case with these at all. They are not perfectly clear, but the tint is barely noticeable. I increased the brightness just a few ticks up on my projectors 3D profile setting and it's really hard to tell the difference. I just wish that Amazon carried a kids size in these. I have been using a clip on strap to help them fit my 4 year olds head, which isn't the best solution, but works for now. Every pair comes with a bag, a cleaning cloth, and a charging cable. the cleaning cloths work pretty well, as my son likes to put fingerprints and popcorn butter all over the lenses. So far no issues. One thing I might consider doing is getting a multi-port charger so I don't have these all hanging off of one of my laptops when they need charging. ... show more

  • Best Active 3D Glasses
I've tried several different active 3D Glasses with my Benq projector and these are the most comfortable and give the best picture. I gave 4 stars because the company is unresponsive when requesting support.

  • They work perfectly
I purchased these in July 2020 for use with my new 3D home theater projector, and it's a match made in heaven. The battery life is truly astounding. You really do plug it in to charge, then use them for a month without the need to recharge. The screen image brightness looks perfect because the projector compensates by making the image on the screen almost too-bright, so the glasses shutter and reduce the brightness to the appropriate level. I've never thought the image on my screen was too dark. Very happy customer. ... show more
