You simply cannot find anything cooler in the world for $500. I was flying this thing all over the place like a pro in no time. The batteries will give you 15+ minutes of flight time if there is minimal wind. The video quality is pretty darn solid. If the quadcopter loses connectivity with the remote control in GPS mode, it will return to the exact spot from which it took off. I frequently demonstrate this to my friends by turning off the controller, and they are always left in a state of shock and awe. The amount of force generated by the propellers is simply stunning. I use it as a leaf blower for my driveway and sidewalks (seriously, not joking at all). It has crashed a few times (I let my friends fly it and they didn't listen to my advice) from considerable altitudes due to running into objects (trees, power lines, houses, etc.), and it still works perfectly. I would recommend calibrating it before first flight, but you could probably get by without calibrating. Be prepared for neighborhood kids, dogs, parents, etc. to come rushing over to you asking you what the heck it is that you just bought on Amazon. ... show more

Everything DJI is great with this bundle. The book bag on the other hand is very cheap and would be better without. Side note: it’s worth getting the Pro handle (black) so to be able to add apps.

I LOVE this quadcopter!!! This is my third quad and I am soooooo glad I finally upgraded to a Phantom. After looking at the improvements with the Phantom-II I decided they were not worth the money and went with this one, PERFECT decision! The Phantom flys fast and smooth, is agile, and responsive and if you know what you're doing, there is no place it can't go. Be prepared to be popular if you buy this thing, it draws a crowd out of nowhere every time I take it out the front door! I've seen some criticism of the FC40 camera and I don't understand that... The camera shoots AMAZING video that I think is every bit as good as a "Go-Pro" (OK the still photos are poor). I've been watching my videos on a 50" HD LCD TV and they are phenomenal, I think it is a FAR better camera than the price you pay for it! The extra value bundle that I got from Koozam was awesome as well. They give you about $65 worth of accessories for $40 and with no tax an free shipping you can't go wrong! Simple summary = GET a Phantom, get it from Koozam on Amazon and you will be the envy of everyone you know... ... show more

I had a 5 star experience from ordering to opening. This was purchased as a gift for someone who has experience flying RC helis but this is his first drone. Getting the bundle package was great since it came with an extra battery and propellers. The Go Pro set up can be and has been adapted to use a JVC Addixion instead which is an extra bonus. Note, to do this you have to use the mount from the Addixion chest harness. The FPV camera provides decent video, if a little wall-eyed. It's just fine for a first time video drone operator. Package arrived on time and in great condition. Can't complain about the price since it was on sale for Christmas. The recipient of this has said it was more than enough to get him into the whole streaming video drone business and is more then happy with this item. 1 month later, no crashes and the phantom 2 propellers fit the FC40 which help with the weight of the Addixion. ... show more

    • Who knew flying was this fun...
Older model of the Phantom but for the price, you can't complain. Flight time depends on several factors including wind, weight, and flight stress. If you fly fast or make quick maneuvers, this seems to cut the flight time significantly. In addition, the range is incredible. I have flown this further than I care to and it responds without issue. Make sure you set the home location in case anything happens though. The only reason I removed one star is because the FC40 camera isn't the best. It does well for an introductory camera, but I quickly outgrew this and purchased a GoPro (which then cuts the flight time). If you are trying to increase flight time, make sure you purchase the propellers from the Vision 2+ model and I would highly recommend buying a few spare batteries. This is a fun but dangerous product if you do not pay attention. Do not fly this like a jerk or harass neighbors or animals. ... show more

THIS is the value point for entry level drone copters and arial photography. For about 500 bucks you get a solid piece of flyware, extra parts, an HD video camera and separate radio control. Features, control, stability, a little learning curve but not much, and you're flying with everyone around you saying "WOW, that's cool!" And then you can monitor and play back everyone around you saying "WOW that's cool!".on HD Video. Spend a 100 or 100 less and you have an overpriced toy. You'll need to spend $500 or more to get any real benefit over the FC40. It has all the range and feature I'll need for a long long time. I already analyzed this to death so stop looking around and just buy it. ... show more

    • Yes worth the money ...
This was awesome !!!! Only issue I am having is with the camera - will not stay connected to my android. Yes it connects but drops the connection in 10 - 20 seconds. Otherwise no issue - - Maybe in a year or so I will upgrade to higher end UAS ... if that is the correct technical term ..
