I purchased these both for the information they permit to be recorded as well as their claimed removal ability. I have washed off several, and once they are fully moistened they do just rub right off. The labels themselves are somewhat lightly printed in what appears to be an ink base, but I would assume that is to make them washable. Though the printing seems to be ink based as opposed to laser, they have not run when condensation forms. These are mostly perfect, they dissolve (a little too) good and have everything I need when labeling. They are hit and miss though as far as adhesion, sometimes they stick great and others it seems as if there's no adhesive at all- which can be super frustrating if I'm in a hurry and need to write an entire new label. ... show more

Eliminate the guess work on the leftovers stacked in my freezer and refrigerator. Sticks on well. Easy to write on. And dissolves like a dream with water. Huge roll for the buck. Would buy again. PS I love to just soak it in water and watch it magically disappear. So cool!

Screw the masking tape and stop using plastic wrap, these are water soluble and perfect for household or industrial use! No more tape clogging drains or illegible smudged written-on containers, this stuff is easy to apply, and melts off with the slightest application of water. Have trouble applying a label to a squeeze bottle? Just put one of these on and dab it with a wet cloth, it sticks like it was glued directly to the plastic.
