I am so glad I found this car seat. My 6 year old is 105 pounds and 51” tall. He has low muscle tone which makes it hard for him to sit up. This seat is perfect : it’s wide enough he can sit comfortably, it has him up a bit higher the his last so the seat belt sits correctly and it has a slight incline towards the back of the seat so he can sit and relax. It has a wonder latch system that was easy to install in just seconds. It is also easy to uninstall and move for car to car. It’s light weight and easy to clean! We had a Dinona Solona for years… my daughter was complaining that it was getting tight, she’s 7 but 54 inches tall and 85 pounds. The solona 2 with latch is MUCH wider and more comfortable for her. The latch feature makes it easier for her to buckle as the seat doesn’t slide around, the color is nice and it’s all around a great upgrade. If you need to save space in the back seat, and have several car seats and are worried about a tight squeeze, this is not the seat for you…. But if you have a big boned kiddo that is sick of squeezing into a tiny booster, then this is the answer! ... show more

In our Pilot: wonderful. Our child can get in/out easily, is comfortable on very long road trips, and can get the buckle in/out easily. Measure carefully on your compact and midsize cars, however. In our Prius this covers the seat belt receptacle, making it a fight for our child to buckle in. It usually results in one of us having to do it instead. No ideal. The latching system is great. It sits securely, doesn’t flop around, yet it is a breeze to get in/out for cleaning. Great execution in this regard. It’s a large item. Measure carefully and you’ll likely be pleased with this. We moved onto these seats due to our kids outgrowing the Diono RXT convertible seats. These have a wide base and are extended out enough where the kids legs do not hang off the seat as much providing a real comfortable seat. We took the kids on an 8 hour drive for our vacation and there were no complaints about their legs falling asleep or it being uncomfortable.
