Was looking for a narrow base car seat for my 53" eight year old that I still wanted to sit in a high back booster. My son grew out of my Britax high back car seat (over height) and he was struggling to buckle himself in because the Britax seat base was partially blocking the seat belt. Googled narrow base car seats and this one came up in the Tesla Y forums as highly rated. Purchased and it fits perfectly in my Audi S5 Sportback and does NOT block the seat belt. The Audi back seats are pretty narrow and many car seats would block the buckle (requiring the use of a seat belt extender which I wasn't a fan of). No need for the extender, my son buckles himself in perfectly without my assistance and told me he really likes the seat. In a year or two I'll remove the high back. Very lightweight seat too, so will be taking this one with me when I travel. Wish it had a built in cupholder but I bought the cupholder add-on which does the job. I'll just have to remove the cupholder when I travel as I wouldn't want TSA to crack it off when handling my car seat bag. ... show more

Needed a slightly narrower seat for the BMW i4, since the graco turbobooster covered the seat belt buckle. This seat fits the bill and my son also loves it. Only con is you have to buy the cup holders separately.

This car seat is as it says slim profile. I have a bmw i4 which I was struggling with other booster seats bc the seatbelt buckle portion is hard to get to under the other boosters. This one fits the car seat in easily with its direct latches and leaves enough space to easily get to the seat belt receptor in my bmw. ... show more

I've struggled to find a booster that is narrow enough of the rear of the base to allow my daughter to easily buckle herself. Every booster I've tried in my Prius before this one would be basically on top of the buckle. This completely solved our issues 🙏

    • Uncomfortable head rest makes it unusable

I ordered this seat due to its narrow-ness and safety ratings. We need three across in our Volvo XC90 and have always used Diono seats with no issue. The price was also very competitive. Unfortunately, we returned the seat for what I can only consider a design flaw. The head rest is shaped a bit like a ram’s horn — and the curved part comes down past where the seat belt comes through. If I adjust the head rest to a correct position as in the manual for my 8yo (about 48” tall), the rest digs into my child’s shoulders. After looking at other reviews, I saw this issue noted by a few others — so thought it might be helpful for another data point. In the end, we returned and purchased the Clek Oobr and are much happier and more comfortable. (The head rest on the Oobr is designed as such that it doesn’t come below the belt path.) ... show more

Love this it is the 4th one we have bought so we do not have to swap between vehicles so much. Granddaughter says it's comfortable and the surfaces are easily cleaned.
