Very interesting product. Definitely a conversation piece. That’s where the good ends. I tried to make coffee with it and there were a few issues. First, the one I received had a small hole in the metal canister that would spew water as it boiled. Second, without a large amount of coffee grounds, the brew was very weak. Lastly, the capacity is small, it doesn’t brew more than an 8oz cup of coffee. ... show more

The 2 star review is for a manufacturer's defect in the spigot. There are some really good fearures on thus unit that I want to touch on first. Unboxing: The gift box that the product came in was very nice. (Bonus points for the shopping bag around the box which made unboxing a breeze.) Everything was in plastic bubble wrap and nested in a Styrofoam tray. The pitcher and coffee spoon were high quality. (Nice hard plastic, not flimsy at all) Setup: I found the unit easy to set up the first time. You will need to be in a very well ventilated area the first time you light it. (I had lots of fumes and had to move by a window.) First brew: During the brewing process, I found a small imperfection in the metal on the connector pipe from the reservior to the spigot. The pictures above show the defect and the leak. The coffee tasted really good, but but the defective pipe was the real killjoy. Cleaning: As long as the reservior is cleaned as soon as it cools, the soot from the burner comes right off. This is definitely not a grab and go coffee maker. Overall, I'm disappointed about the hole in the pipe. I got in touch with Amazon about the defect. The process to get a QR code to return it to my local Kohl's was really easy. I'm not sure if I'm going to order a replacement yet. ... show more
