Low cost, not horrible. opened right up. Make sure you have someone to help. The box is heavy and it's not the easiest thing to unpack. I put the box across the bed frame. opened the box length wise and unraveled it onto the frame. It's raveled with a long, LARGE, thick sheet of plastic. (If you're a handy guy, you'll wanna hang onto that. Painting or whatever.) Once it's unraveled, it's in another bag with easy open corners, pop them and it will begin to expand. Ok so shopping for the right mattress is so stressful and after 3 months of researching the different types of mattress that I narrowed them down to 3. The one that I originally wanted were of brand and had all the things I was looking for in a mattress but they upped the amount but $200. This mattress had the same things and was unusually cheaper and so I took the plunge and baby let me tell you this mattress has me sleeping like a baby. The media could not be loaded. This mattress has great quality. It’s firm and comfortable too. It has good support and I don’t sink in it. I don’t know what gel memory foam is, but it sure is comfy.
