  • A good accessory for bass
This is a good tool at a good price. I had a Behringer Bass V-Amp and found it harder to use, with its 4 banks of effects. The Digitech BP200 is easier to use, with its simple up and down scrolling through 40 preset effects, which you can also adjust and save to 40 additional presets. Some of the presets are just too downright weird and distorted to actually use, but there are at least 10 that I have found so far that are useful to me. For that, it has been a worthwhile purchase. Plus, I am now starting to tweak my favorite presets, and saving them to new preset locations. It takes a while to get to know all the presets and how they react to tweaking, so you have to take your time getting to know this device, and it will get more useful to you. This is a great tool to have in your practice room. With just one device you have a tuner, a basic drum machine, and all the effects. Plus a volume pedal (can be programmed for other functions too), which can come in handy when you need a quick boost. Its metal case seems sturdy, but I wrap in in a towel before throwing it in my gig bag, to protect the knobs and the finish. One thing I have found is that I use different presets for home practice than I do for band practice or gigs. What may sound kind of perfect and smooth at home actually gets lost in a band setting. And what sounds too harsh and edgy at home actually sounds good in a band setting. With all the extra volume in a band, a more punchy bass sound actually helps cut through all the noise. I have not noticed any noise or hum when using this product. It is very quiet. The only time you hear a little slight "clicking" is when you actually turn the control knobs when making an adjustment. But you are not generally doing that while playing, so it isn't a problem. I have been enjoying getting to know this product, and I continue to find interesting sounds to try out at home, and in a band setting. I'm sure this will keep me occupied and interested for some time to come! I'm happy with the good price and free shipping from Amazon. ... show more

  • Good Starter Equipment
This processor was great when I first started out. Gave me great tones. I had a couple issues where with certain effects I couldn't get the expression pedal to work its magic, but on other sounds it worked perfectly. Don't know if that was in the programming or if my was slightly defective. I wound up reselling mine to get multiple pedals so I could get the specific sounds I needed quicker. Dont get me wrong this processor has the function to easily switch between presets, but I had gotten to the point where it just couldn't keep up with me. Great tool for getting started nontheless. ... show more

  • My second one of the same model
I have used this pedal for a long time. I recently went to go jam and this thing was going crazy. It sounded crazy and the display was going all wild and I could not fix it. It has worked fine for years, and does everything I need it to, so I bought another one. Sure, I could have upgraded and gotten something else for my next pedal setup but I am really happy with this one. It is very intuitive to use and flexible. It sounds great whether I am just jamming with friends or if I am recording. It is great. 5 Stars. ... show more

  • Great start for bass players
Great processor, very dynamic. Needs to come with power supply. Any power supply will NOT do. Should have had the option to include power supply for a small up charge.

  • Solid bass pedal, lots of options
This thing is built like a tank and works great. Amp effects, gain, reverb all work well. I mostly use it as a compressor and tuner but it's nice to know there's a TON more available if i want a different sound.

  • Nice Bass EFX proccessor
Great effects processor with multi effects, virtual cabinets, drum machine etc. Has a expression pedal for more control and is easy to use and program. Been tweaking and making my own sound set ups and storing them very easily. Good quality as always from DigiTech.
