  • awesome
A great layman's read on digital theatre production. Answers soooo many questions the average tech has. I will reference this often.

  • Unprofessional; badly written
The content seems valid enough--the author is well-informed on his subject matter--but it is so badly written (use of slang, vernacular expressions, immature humor, etc.) that I found it unreadable.

Amazing book. I am in no way a TechnoGeek and this book made a ton of sense. It taught me things I didn't even realize I should know. Get this book if you need a crash course in what is possible and why you should update equipment, especially if you are in an Educational Theater environment and feel like the students are increasingly more tech-savy. From the very basics, to Broadway applications this book covers a lot of ground in a fun to read way that is never 'over your head', nor 'treat you like a five year old'. I'd give it five stars if only the Kindle edition had the illustrations that I am sure make everything that much clearer. I may even buy this book in print, just to add to my students library. ... show more

This book is adequately informational. It is not well written. It really, really needed an editor. There are several factual errors and misstatements that an editor would have seen immediately. Perhaps for the next edition, the author could improve the text by having it read by an editor before publication. ... show more
