I recently returned a similar type of steel bed frame to Amazon. I spent a lot of time looking at the bed frame products and the reviews. I decided to purchase this one. I am usually a skeptic and I can be a hard to please consumer. THIS ONE IS GREAT. It met all my needs and expectations. I do recommend that in the assembly it will be best to have two people doing this. Fastening the screw and nuts through the holes at the four corners really needs two people to do this properly which we found out. With that said, assembly is smooth and easy and the directions are straight forward. All components are properly marked and there re even some spare screws included (if you strip them during assembly). I found that to be a delightful bonus. We have a vacation home with low ceilings on the lower level. The low profile is great for the child room. My 6yo can sit on the bed with ease and get in and out easily. I have had a water bit for most of my life, however, it has become increasingly difficult to find parts for it anymore. I switched to a regular mattress number of years ago however I kept the original particle board base for my waterbed. That base is finally collapsed. I've spent the past 2 months trying to find a new base that would work. I was just about to build one myself when I ran across in this particular one. The size is perfect for my California King waterbed frame. It doesn't sit too high it doesn't sit too low. When I drop in the Box frames the mattress fits right on top. It is strong yet lightweight. Nice frame, good instructions. Only issue is that frame is about 2 to 3 inches longer than my brand new mattress. Hope I don't trip or kick excess. Tried pulling down and leaving excess at head of bed, but then pillows drop into the gap.

Very well made. A little challenging to put together. I would suggest a socket and ratchet, as there are 18 bolts to tighten. The small flat wrench and and allen wrench included will make this task harder and slower. But the product itself is very well made. It will hold alot of weight. It also has room underneath for storage. I put it inside the frame of a headboard and footboard, which was an extremely tight fit due to the rails that previously held the slats. But i may remove these at some later time as they no longer serve any purpose. I continue to use both box springs and mattress, as I like the height of the bed. I bought this as an option for my new medium firm mattress since my previous bed frame requires a box spring. I wanted a low bed because I have a full size and my toddler likes to sleep with me. The 7 inch one is great for us because she can get on and off easily - since I am petite (4’11 100 lbs), I also have no problems with it. It also prevents my dog and toddler from running and hiding under the bed since it is low enough, which is good (unexpected benefit of it) Under the bed, you can fit anything comfortable that is 5 inches or shorter in height. As far as the comfort, the first night felt different because it is lower than my previous bed frame but after that, I felt so much better that the bars actually hold up my medium firm mattress (10 inches) with enough support that our weight is evenly distributed, no mattress sagging! I am happy with this investment - given it costed less than some box springs and includes everything in one: frame and bars. Very easy to move around when putting the mattress sheets on and doing your bed every morning and I wake up feeling comfortable - no stiffness. For Assembly, every part is labeled with a letter. The instructions are diagrams showing you what to do. All tools included - at first you may thing it is too small but that must be eyes playing a trick because it is just the right size for my full size mattress. My dad took about an hour to put things together - with interruptions from my toddler and his movement limitations (he has a bad leg). That being said, as I watched, it appeared to be very simple to put together. I even was able to help him and I am not super skilled at putting things together.
