Features

  • WARNING: We DO NOT recommend the 0.25mm nozzle for fiber-embedded filaments.
  • HIGH QUALITY: The Diamondback Science team has been developing world-class diamond products for the energy industry for more than 40 years. Members of the team recently developed a proprietary Polycrystalline Diamond (PCD) nozzle to be used in 3D printing that can handle the most challenging applications! Easier to clean and reduces tip clogging, improves layer adhesion, has a solid diamond tip, any filaments, longer life, lowers operating temperature, and delivers unmatched wear resistance!
  • PRECISION PRINT: Our nozzles rely on a solid diamond tip to improve precision 3D printing. The tip is not a diamond coating, but rather a solid diamond substrate made of polycrystalline diamond. Not only is our diamond the hardest material in the world, but it also provides best-in-class thermal conductivity, or heat transfer capability. Easily transfers heat from the hotend through the nozzle and into the filament--ensuring more precision printing and better layer adhesion on every print!
  • LONGER LIFE: The Polycrystalline Diamond (PCD) used in every DiamondBack nozzle will significantly extend the overall life of the nozzle. The extreme hardness, wear resistance, and thermal conductivity of this unique material make it an ideal solution for 3D printing. Delivers high thermal conductivity, low coefficient of friction, and high fracture toughness. Extends the tool life of other applications in other industries by 2 to 8 times the life of tungsten carbide and other hard metals!
  • SPECIFICATIONS: It is recommended that DiamondBack Nozzle users follow the operating specifications provided by each 3D printer manufacturer and each filament supplier. DiamondBack Nozzle temperatures should not exceed 300 Celsius.

Size: 0.4mm
I don’t review much. But this thing is the cat’s meow. I reckon that claim they make about it lasting a lifetime? Yup, I believe it. I’ve been using the heck out of this thing and it just keeps going, as consistent as the day I bought it. Now, we’re talking PLA, PETG, ASA, ABS, nylon. Yeah, the carbon filled variety too. as long as it melts under 300c and you can push it through an extruder I’m pretty confident this nozzle is gonna work. Stuff don’t stick to it, it’s shinier and more polished than a mirror so that filament stacks on top of itself reeeal nice. That gives you layer lines that are stacked almost so perfect you just don’t notice them. In all seriousness, this nozzle made me fall back in love with 3d printing. It’s moved from multiple hot ends for a year! im saving my sheckles for a .6 or bigger. I’ll close with a simile, this nozzle is like tires on your car. You can have the best most advanced car in the world but so much of it comes down to what actually connects your car to the ground. This is nozzle makes all those mods, all those linear rails and everything else we do consistent, predictable, and beautiful. (Provided your printer is tuned right!!) ... show more

  • Amazing
Size: 0.4mm
If you’re reading this you’re probably seriously considering, in that case I’d say buy it. There are a handful of YouTube videos with the makers of this product - they stand behind it and it will definitely be the last nozzle in the size you get that you’ll have to buy. I lower my temps 5-10 degrees (diamond transfers the heat much more efficiently than brass) and we can print at crazy speeds with identical quality as long as we don’t print behind the limits of our printer setup. If you’re in between a nozzleX and this, I recommend this but you also couldn’t go wrong with nozzleX (with nozzleX you’ll need to print at higher temps). ... show more

  • Perfect for abrasive materials
Size: 0.6mm
I print CoEx Nylex glass filled nylon exclusively and this nozzle didn't even break a sweat. Zero clogs, great print quality, and super low wear resistance. I picked up the .6mm nozzle for bigger sized projects it performs well. For more detailed prints the .4mm nozzle performance is excellent. This nozzle isn't the end all be all that will fix all your print issues. Your printer build, project settings, filament prep, and nozzle will collectively dictate the end result. Happy printing. ... show more

  • This is not the appropriate fit for the Ender 3 Sprite Pro Extruder
Size: 0.4mm
If you're looking for the fitment to an Ender 3 then I would highly advise you to get the "MK8" version of this nozzle. For one, this nozzle doesn't screw in all the way however that doesn't matter. This nozzle is flatter than the MK8 which makes the silicone sock almost flush with the nozzle. My Issue mainly however is my probe is leveled with my nozzle meaning when I print my nozzle is scraping the bed. I went ahead and ordered the MK8. This nozzle CAN work for an Ender 3 as my only issue is with my custom probe mount is flush with the nozzle however I would still highly recommend you get the "MK8". ... show more

  • Worth the price of admission!
Size: 0.4mm
I run a 0.4mm Diamondback on my heavily modified Anycubic Mega X for printing PETG and it works and absolute treat. Ive had this nozzle for several months now and I'm pretty happy to see not only 0.25mm nozzles but a whole Volcano lineup. For PETG this nozzle makes a world of difference as it doesnt have the "stiction" of other materials and can really help to keep that first layer from getting snatched up. I've printed PLA with it to some favorable results, but "sticky" materials is where it really shines. I've even fired off a few prints with some pretty wet PETG and it printed surprisingly well. As far as longevity I havent came across any issues or decrease in print quality aside from actual filament issues. I would highly recommend any Diamondback nozzle for a high quality nozzle thats sure to last quite some time. ... show more

  • The real deal. The forever nozzle. but not just for abrasives.
Size: 0.4mm
I love this thing. Before this, my best nozzle was a long volcano style ruby clone I paid 45 bucks for. You can debate all you want on what you really need for abrasive materials. All I know is I print in lots of stuff so the nozzle has to also do PLA and PETG well. Most of the other options like hardened steel or e3d's wonder nozzle mess up bad on petg and leave weird artifacts on PLA because of it sticking to the nozzle. You don't have this problem with diamond or ruby, and you are good to 300F. So you can waste your money on CF-NL you probably don't need. What I know is, even if I'm printing polyterra (I usually am now) I'm going to destroy any all brass nozzle within six months. Just with PLA. People don't understand that those silks and woods and just some dyes in PLA will erode brass nozzle openings. Silks are the worst. How do you think they get them to shine like that? It's not as bad as CF but it is still abrasive. So I just want to never have to replace this part again, and I want good finish on my prints. You get that with this nozzle. Things don't stick to it. It doesn't wear out. I have put a bunch of CF-PLA and CF-ASA through it, then gone right back to cheap polyterra. No changes. I printed enough CF that I'd have ruined a cheap plated brass nozzle. I'd have gotten through the nickle. I'd have started to wear on a steel one. This one is just like the first print. Every single time. So don't buy this just because you want to print exotic materials. It's an upgrade for simple PLA. You get a better surface finish than you will with any all brass nozzle. This thing is expensive, but it goes above and beyond what you are expecting from it. If they made it in the longer volcano size I'd have two of them. ... show more
