It also comes in two weights so players can enjoy either more speed or power in their game: The Lite averages 7.7 oz and the Mid 8.0 oz.

It also uses proprietary Spin RP, a 2-component polyurethane coating which creates a slightly sticky feel for enhanced ball contact and grip for control and spin.
  • LARGE USABLE FACE & SLEEK FLUSH EDGING Edge guard is constructed to be flush with the surface so players don't experience mis-hits when pickleballs land near the edge of the paddle. Edge guard is not flush with the paddle face in many places. Not sure how thar affects shots that are out the on the edge. Might shave it down with an xacto knife. Seems like a good paddle other than that and I didn't spent 200 bucks!

I’m a low intermediate player. I had always played with the Onyx5 that I liked very much until it got loved out. I chose the Icon on recommendation of coach. I like the way it is weighted a bit more evenly with a slightly longer handle and small grip. It is light and quick. I am getting more power and more control.
