THIS IS A VERY CONVENIENT COOKING ITEM WHICH IS PORTABLE. GREAT FOR STEAMING VEGETABLES, COOKING NOODLES ON THE GO AS WELL AS BOILING EGGS. I LEAVE THIS IN MY LOCKER AT WORK TO AVOID SPENDING MONEY ON OVERPRICED FOOD IN THE CAFETERIA.

Pros: - Compact with a handle so you don't have to pour into another bowl, just eat from the pot! - Dual temp means you can steam at low temp or you can "fry" at high temp. - Easy to clean (I haven't used it to cook noodles so I haven't used detergent to wash it yet). I steam to warm my food and it works very fast!! - Price is decent - No need to wait nor be exposed to a communal microwave that might be "dirty"! (if you are into microwaves making food cancerous then another great reason for this since it only steams) Cons: - None so far Overall, I've just got this recently so I can't comment on its reliability/longevity yet. I will update once it is at 6 month to a year. I do have another one (not the same brand but the same concept but at the time I purchased it, that model didn't have the "steamer strainer") but it was at least 5 years ago and it was exposed multiple "wet" during cleaning/washing and yet it still works! I have brought this old pot to Southeast Asia traveling and it worked wonders for nights I don't want to leave the hotel and just pop in the ramen. ... show more

The controls are hard to see, but easy to remember. Quality is not what I expected. I ordered this one because of the egg rack, but it’s made of plastic. I haven’t tried it yet. But it will serve my purpose for the moment. Don’t know why they quit offering the egg rack in the updated version? Make sure to snugly hook up to outlet. No cooking hints for anything but Raman noodles, so will have to experiment. ... show more
