This will considerably lessen your engagement channel with aftermarket clutches and drivers for 3/4” shafts.   • The bushing works and fits great, but the key doesn't.
The bushing works and fits great. But the key is too tall to be able to get the pulley on the crankshaft, the keyway in the pulley would have to be deeper. I put a standard size key in the keyway and that might work, but its not ideal, because a standard key is not tall enough.   • Engine swap saved my ......
So I had a old craftsman edger with a big bad 3hp engine on it. Well if you don't know, those old engines can be a pain to get running, keep running, adjusting carburetor, and so on. Nothing like Harbor Freight and their affordable engines. While everything was a direct fit, there was a slight issue with marrying the pulley to the crank. The original engine had a machined shaft to hold the pulley in the exact location it needed to be. With the new engine the shaft is the same diameter for the entire thing. This shaft adapter saved the day. I just needed to trim it down with a slow process hack saw and file for finishing and it works great. ... show more
