  • Expensive but worth it
Size: One Size
This table saw stand has great build quality and good looks, and it fits and matches the DWE7485 table saw I already owned. The legs are sturdy and easy to fold/un-fold. The stand is easy to setup and move, and the hollow, air-less tires work well. The quick-release stand brackets make it easy to load/unload into a vehicle, or to use the saw in a tight space. The kickstand/upright storage feature really saves space in my garage. BTW: I already owned the 7485 saw, and it did fit the stand as-is, but I didn't think the default mount was secure enough, so I drilled 4 holes in the bottom rungs of the saw to get a better mount to the quick-release brackets on the stand. All this was due to the design of the saw, not the saw stand. ... show more

  • This really adds a ton of usability to the table saw
Size: One Size
Having a portable table saw, I initially thought it would be fine to just sit this on a table when needed. I quickly found out that doesn't work quite as well as expected. Adding this stand really changed the whole usability of the saw. It's now easy to move around, easy to setup and easy to take down. Since it's so easy to move, it also helps with getting it into a storage location quite easily in the garage. Assembly and attachment to the saw was a breeze. The stand is extremely sturdy once it's setup. Quickly fold up the legs and extend the handle when you are finished cutting and the large wheels make this a breeze to move around. ... show more

  • Best Thing Since Sliced Bread
Size: One Size
Just arrived this afternoon and just a few minutes after taking it out of the box, it was assembled and ready to go. It's a very heavy duty stand and very well made. It even looks good! Back legs are a little longer than the front which looks strange at first, but it grows on you. I will follow up in a few days after I mount my new Bosch table saw to it. Update,Feb 7, 2013 As simple as it is, it may be one of the best tools I have ever owned. It's rock solid. I mounted my brand new Bosch table saw to this stand and it makes the little saw feel much larger than it actually is. In spite of the way the legs stick out to make it stable, the legs don't get in my way. Would give this stand six stars if I could. Well worth the money. I have used the Bosch gravity stand and it's easy to use, and this one is almost as easy and has a smaller footprint. UPDATE, MID APRIL 2014: Using it since first of the year. I can have my Bosch table saw up and running in just two or three minutes. Takedown is just as quick. Talk about a time saver! On a nice day, I can easily wheel it out the door which gives me much more room. One day it rained when the saw was outside. I had it down and inside in two minutes. UPDATE APPRIL 2015: Still going strong. Not a single issue. Not one. Works as well as it did the day I bought it. Perfect for the small shop. Get Amazon prime and shipping is free! ... show more

  • An excellent saw stand
Size: One Size
This stand is a very nice table saw stand. It fits perfectly with my flexvolt portable table saw. There are holes in the plastic feet you see where it is threaded so you don't need to use the nuts that are supplied with the bolts. It makes me laugh how everyone is drilling the holes out that you can see in the middle of the frame. That is a very bad place to bolt it down. It is very compact. With the table saw on it is perfect hight. It is nice that you can take the saw off very easily when needed. So yes it is the perfect choice for the dewalt cordless table saw. ... show more

  • Compatibility with DWE7485
Size: One Size
This review is for a DEWALT Table Saw Stand, Mobile/Rolling (DW7440RS) purchased 24 Nov 21 and the stand's compatibility with a DEWALT Table Saw for Jobsite, Compact, 8-1/4-Inch (DWE7485) purchased the same date. My Instruction Manual for the saw is N865128 (05/20); for the stand it's N044470 (AUG09). Note the stand manual predates the saw's by more than a decade. I've not written product reviews recently, but because I found no instance where correct advice is given for this stand and saw--including by DeWalt--I felt obliged to write this one. Many commenters have complained that stand instructions are unhelpful. The comments are correct. It's not that they're written in "English as a fourth language;" rather, by someone who either doesn't know how to make things clear, or doesn't care. For example, after usual Safety Guidelines, the first para of assembly instruction includes: "Ensure the long end of the axle is to the rear of the stand as shown." The axle is a tube with same-length threaded ends. How can it have a "long end"?! The small picture accompanying the text is no help, nor does it indicate which side of the stand is "the rear." Eventually, after seeing the assembled stand pictured on the shipping box, one realizes that DeWalt and safety decals likely are on the front of the stand, and that the opposite side therefore is the rear. (And in fact, once the stand was assembled and the saw mounted, I finally noticed that the safety decal also indicates "Front.") Knowing where the axle should go, it then becomes clear that the mounting points are not equidistant from axle ends, so that when installed, one end is "longer" than the other. So, instructions for assembly could be more helpful, but certainly the task is manageable. The real fun--and confusion!--begins when mounting the saw to the stand. First, in fairness to DeWalt, note that the stand, according to its Instruction Manual, is a "Universal Rolling Jobsite Table Saw Stand--Works with most jobsite table saws as designed. Some saws may require a plywood surface for attachment to stand." So, expectations shouldn't be high that detailed instructions will be provided for fitting any saw to the stand. On the other hand, Amazon currently is selling the stand and saw discussed here as a package, so one might hope specific instructions for combining the two would be provided. Hah! The stand manual indicates the stand has been UL-evaluated for use with DW744, DW744X and DW745 saws. DW744 and DW744X are 10" saws with a different base than the DWE7485. The DW745 also is a 10" saw, with a base more similar to the DWE7485, but still different. So, the manual provides no assurance that the stand is compatible with the DWE7485--no surprise, as it's probable this saw didn't exist when the manual was last updated. The manual does indicate "Measure the distance between the mounting holes of the table saw. Position the second mounting bracket onto the beam at this distance from the first mounting bracket." And the saw does have two sets of holes on both its lower tubes; the saw manual Fig. A indicates these as Part 9--Mounting Holes. So, one could expect these holes should be used for mounting the saw. But the first realization is that the hole diameter in the saw base is too small for the M8 screws provided with the stand for saw mounting. No problem, right? Just drill them out to 5/16". A second realization then is that the provided screws are too short to fasten the saw tube to the stand bracket, particularly at the wonky angle (30 degrees from vertical) of the holes. (An additional realization is that even if the existing Part 9 mounting holes and M8 screws could be used, the saw would be too close to the left end of the stand, because of the locator clip (J) "that keeps the saw from sliding left or right during operations and during transport.") At this point, the stand manual advises "If your saw holes do not line up with the mounting bracket slots, please follow the alternative mounting instructions below." These instructions then indicate a 3/4" plywood base and additional hardware are required. Grrr... Some reviewers have taken this route, some have made existing holes work with longer screws; some have drilled new holes. Others have removed the four plastic "feet" on the base of the saw and realized a threaded "nut" is affixed to the base tube. But the M8 mounting screws are too long (or have too little thread), such that the screw will not sufficiently tighten in this application. And at this point, some reviewers purchase shorter screws and fender washers, which works, or in one case, place provided mounting nuts within the tube (which seems difficult to make work). BUT none of this is necessary. The key is to note that Fig. A in the saw manual indicates Part 24--the plastic feet--are "Mounting holes (for mounting to DW7440RS brackets)." Ho ho! It's a shame this isn't discussed elsewhere in the manual, as it's easily missed. The feet however do indeed have holes in their bottom that go to the tube-mounted "nut." And when going through the feet to secure the saw to the stand, the provided M8 screws are the correct size; that is, they fit the threaded "nut" and tighten sufficiently. So, the simple solution is to use the provided M8 screw, flat washer and lock washer to go from underneath the stand's saw mounting bracket into the saw's feet hole. Picture attached. This will leave you with four nuts and four washers excess. And the DWE7485 securely mounted to the DW7440RS! Now, why doesn't the stand manual say that?!? Update 31 Dec 21 End-of-year reckoning: since writing the above review I've seen that the manual for saw DWE7485 in fact has more to say about mounting to stand DW7440RS than what's given in that manual's Fig. A. Page 6, Bench Mounting, indicates: "Holes (24) are also provided under the saw feet for mounting to DW7440RS brackets." Mea culpa! ... show more
