Description

The DEWALT 1/2 in. x 50 ft. Double Arm Hose Reel is suitable for industrial, contractor, or household use. The spring-powered drive feature makes hose retraction quick, automatic, and easy. The 12 position ratchet gearing lock allows for the hose to be pulled to any length. With the self-leveling system, the hose can be wound up easily. The dual-arm and professional grade all-steel construction is very strong and reliable. The hose guide uses a 4-roller design to help reduce hose wear. The premium rubber air hose stays flexible to work with, even at 40°F below zero, yet still takes the heat up to 150°F without swelling or bubbling. The hose is kink and oil resistant under pressure and has a 1/2 in. x 4 ft. lead in the air hose for easy compressor connection. The DEWALT 1/2 in. x 50 ft. If you're tired of rolling up that damned kinked up compressor hose and tired of fighting it getting caught on everything while you're trying to roll it up,,,hang this Dewalt hose reel on the wall and keep that kinked up pile of crap for a spare hose extension. I bought this hose reel to get a 1/2” hose, sturdy reel, and double sided brace. It arrived with box a bit damaged and the mounting surface slightly bent. I straightened it and installed it. The steel column I used to support the reel was too narrow for holes in the reel, so I drilled new holes In the reel which worked out just fine. Note the supply hose provided is 4’ long and I needed 7’. After searching for a local Place to make up a new hose, I opted to add a 4’ supply hose with a coupling. All working well now. Reel retracts and operates well. No leaks in swivel joint. ... show more

Ordered this to end the "roll up the hoses" chore in the shop, but I goofed on what I thought my hose dimensions were. I thought I had a 1/2 and a 3/8 setup, but as soon as this arrived I realized I had a 3/8 and 1/4 setup. The plan was to mount this in the ceiling, but at nearly 50 lbs, I bailed on that idea and fabbed up a bracket and shelf to mount this right on the compressor. Works like a champ. Not that you couldn't put this on the ceiling, but you'll need a second set of hands for sure. In use, the larger than expected hose is obviously targeting high volume needs, such as sandblasting or monster impact wrenches (think 3/4 or 1" drive). The hose is beefy, so if you used this for painting your arms will get a workout for sure. Retracts fine if you're patient...the hose is pretty stiff so you have to let it find its own way back onto the reel. All brass connections...no leaks for me. Don't forget the Teflon tape! If you're looking for a high volume setup, this is a great deal. Light duty, small paint jobs, nailers...might be a little too beefy. ... show more

Good hose quality and the reel retracts nicely. I like that the supply hose to reel connection is external so it will be easy to service the o-rings when necessary. Make sure whatever you’re mounting it to is solid because this is a heavy reel. If I had to say anything negative, it would be that the 1/2” hose is too big for the average home user but will definitely last. ... show more

This claims to be a rubber hose and probably is but is much less flexible than my existing 1/2 air hose. I bought this to get more air flow to my impact gun and air hammer but im not sure that I will get that. First of all yes all the threads are 1/2 fnpt, however the holes in the ends of the hoses get reduced to 3/8" (this is to be expected to be smaller because the hose end fitting slides into the hose and then gets crimped on) on my other 1/2 hose that I have the hole also gets reduced on the hose ends but not as small as 3/8". Also the 1/2 fnpt hole in the swivel fitting on the reel is reduced in size even more so if you buy this to get more flow, you might be better off with no reel or possibly an aftermarket higher flow swivel. ... show more
