Description

The DCD780 20V MAX 1/2" drill/driver features two speed transmission(0-600/0-2000RPM), 1/2" Ratcheting chuck, with an ergonomic handle. The DCS381 20V MAX reciprocating saw with keyless blade clamp allows for quick blade change without touching blade or reciprocating shaft, a variable speed trigger, and an electric brake. The DCF885 20V MAX 1/4" Impact Driver features 3 LED light ring withe 20 second delay to provide visibility without shadows. The DCL040 20V MAX LED worklight delivers 110 lumens of light output with a head that rotates 120 degrees. The DCS393 20V MAX circular saw with 6-1/2" carbide blade can cut 2x4's at a 45-degree angle in a single pass. It has a powerful 460 MWO, 5,250 RPM motor delivers power and speed to make the most demanding cuts with ease. And finally, the DCR006 Jobsite Bluetooth Speaker is powered by AC/DC and runs off of 12V and 20V MAX DEWALT battery packs. Backed by DEWALT's 3 year limited warranty. I was very excited for this kit, until I received it. The most important piece for me was the 3 speed drill/driver. That’s not what came though. The kit has a 2 speed.. Looking back they do notate a 2 speed with a “picture”, however the “from the manufacturer” section shows the kit with a 3 speed and I just read that part and the breakdown when ordering. Didn’t expect conflicting items to be listed and assumed they product listing would have been accurate. So if you need or want a 3 speed driver, don’t buy this kit. Everything else? Batteries did not make it a year. Your better off buying something else other than Dewalt. I will change this post once I hear back from customer service on how they will deal with the batteries not even making it a year.

Bought the kit, was really excited to finally own top grade power tools. Used the drills right when they arrive some some home remodeling and I was very angry that the battery does not last enough time. It’s a drill and not a jet engine to drain the battery after 11 screws placed on 2x4s. The batteries heat up and die (I assume as a safety feature). Switch to the second battery and another 9 to 12 screws and charge them again. Had to bust out my 6 yr old Ryobi to fully START the job. I used the Circular Saw and it wouldn’t cut a 2x4 all the way, it would stop almost at the end and I had to hit it with a hammer to split the board (basically gave me extra work). Used the Sawsall and that one did cut as it should, no problem with that one. The light is useless, I swear, it’s not even LED!!! It just takes up a battery for no damn reason. The speaker, it does come with its own wall charger but cmon, a speaker? No Dewalt, I need tools not music, I have a phone for that. The charger worked perfectly fine. The bag did the job which was to store the tools and seem to be good quality but the only time I used it was when I took the entire kit to UPS to return them. They don’t cut 2x4? Then these are tools for children because as a man I need power tools with power and reliable so this goes back to the title, Seriously Dewalt? I don’t play around, I called Amazon asked for a refund and sent them out. I will try Milwaukee next and Makita. I just purchased Ryobi combo kit and they just shipped so I will comment on those after I use them but for now, purchase this at your own risk. This was my experience with Dewalt and I returned them, was not happy and very disappointed since this is basically #1 brand in power tools. My second drill set (everything wears out eventually 10 yrs at least) Awesome combo set. Dewalt May be a little more expensive then some, but in my experience it’s been worth it. I got dewalt chainsaw, weed trimmer, blower also and only had one problem with the weed trimmer and dewalt took care of it no problem under their 3 year warranty that comes with their products ... show more

If you want to spend a little extra money for quality, name brand power tools (which you should), this is a kit to get started. I like the power the 20v provides and the 2ah batteries keep the impact and drill nice and light with good run time. They begin to have less life running the saws but that’s expected. The speaker is a nice addition with good volume while also being compact. The bag that comes with this is huge and can carry a lot of extra tools including all of these. I’m going to continue to add to my Dewalt 20v collection with the angle grinder and multi tool after liking these tools so much. ... show more

After using the 1/4 driver a few days I am realizing that it's smoked. It works but it gives out a horrendous smell. Like a rotten meat and if I keep it up it'll smoke. At first I thought it just needed to wear in or it may have gotten to much grease at time of assembly but it hasn't gone away. I will need to see about having it replaced. The drill and radio are the only other ones I've used in the kit and seem to be working well. ... show more

I got this set for 349.00 and had another 50 off in credits. So 299.00 is what I paid. This set is amazing. It's everything I hoped it'd be. 2 batteries a charger. The speaker is the weakest part of this set. But hey it works.

I've owned DeWalt cordless tools for many years and have always been happy with them. However, I upgraded to the 20-volt system (with kit # DCK620D2) and am underwhelmed with the low quality. The DCD780 drill/driver and DCF885 impact driver are defective. The DCD780 overheats at the top of the handle and spits sparks OUT of the motor housing. The DCF885 produces a significant burning electrical odor. I am extremely disappointed with the low quality of these tools and have no faith they will be long lasting. ... show more
