Dewalt shop stool. Comes mostly together - just install the seat. My husband was so happy. Declared this is favorite gift this year. It has really sturdy wheels and rolls nicely - of course better when the shop floor is clean - but even with a little stuff on the floor it does well. It's very very heavy duty, weighty. The seat part is comfortable (according to hubby). He is a very big Dewalt fan - he would recommend this stool if you need one. It adjusts up and down about 5" or so. Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. All of my reviews reflect my honest, personal experience with the reviewed item - your experience may be different. I am not influenced by any outside source. It was a Christmas present for my husband. He was so hapto with the stool. Very sturdy and wheels glide across the floor with very little effort. The tool holder and adjustable seat iare a huge plus for my husband.

This is a very sturdy and confortable addition to your shop or workroom! It came exactly as advertised and easier than thought to assemble. Most parts were already assembled! Good buy!

Color: Yellow and Black
First, a few cons that I have experienced- 1) wishing it has a foot rest attachment to use when fully extended high. 2) Also, in the opposite range, wishing the stem would compress lower (maybe down to 18 inches from the floor), to reach the ground without having to dismount. Seems it would be to hace it that low if the casters were removed and replaced by the fixed boots that come included. 3) And last, the seat padding can get a bit stiff after a couple hours ride. Pros- That being the case, I do enjoy the convenience of mobility by having the casters on all the time. These casters are, hardy, smooth and quiet. The overall assembly was easy. Basically, screwing in the casters or boots (your choice), then placing the hydraulic stem riser in the pocket of the base and the seat locks to the top. The build is solid, yet in spite of its rugged looks it is lightweight, making it able to lift, carry and store easily. All in all, this is a great buy. ... show more

    • What can I say, it’s DeWalt!

I bought this to replace a Craftman mechanics stool. Full disclosure my garage is full of DeWalt tools. If DeWalt makes it then I need it I have it. The quality of this tool is equal to or better than the build quality on other Dewalt tools. Frankly, I think it’s overkill for what it needs to be. The casters roll smoothly across my textured/epoxy, garage floor and the wheels are made of a softer, not necessarily rubber, but plastic that glides pretty well. If I had any issues with the stool, it would be that it doesn’t lower down far enough. But I suppose that’s more of a want than a concern because the height adjustability was listed in the specs. And of course, the brand and colors match my tools and workbench. I think it’s a great buy. ... show more

Its a nice shop stool. Only have 2 issues with it. 1) The mini back piece that wraps around is not needed, at least for me, while it does not really dig in to your legs its still noticeable and would be better if it was not there. 2) The wheels are just okay. While they do work they could be better if the stool had "roller blade" type wheels. I generally move the stool to the are I am going to be working in by hand and I am stationary while working, but if you try to push off and roll across the room there could be risk of tipping over due to the wheels needing to turn and align to the direction of travel. I only have saw dust on my shop floor and seems to roll over that just fine. ... show more

This is a fantastic stool. I brought mine to work and sometimes I sit at a bench almost all day. My back used to hurt so much that I couldn't sit any longer. But this stool with the variable hight allows me to change my position and give my back a break. The padded seat is much more comfortable than the stool I was using. In addition the wheels and the spinning seat cut back on the stubborn movement of the old stationary stool. If you're thinking about getting a work stool, and you will have days when you sit for hours at a time, I would definitely reccomend this item. Comfortable seat, easy to move back and forth and side to side, and the spinning seat, which surprisingly is something that I would have a hard time living without now that I've had one. No more standing up and then reaching down to scoot my stool a few feet to the left or right. Comfortable, ergonomically designed and definitely a time saver when you consider all the manual stool positioning and adjusting that I no longer have to do, and how uncomfortable it was to sit in one spot, unable to maneuver to get my work done.
