I’ve burned through dozens of 2,3,4,5,6,9,12 ah Dewalt batteries over the years and find the 6 ah flexvolt batteries the best overall choice based on longevity in general. I have yet to find an off-brand battery that hasn’t turned into recycle after a couple of months but I remain gullible enough to keep trying until I find a brand that’s comparable. ... show more

Deducted 1 star since battery packaging was opened and was not factory sealed. The seals on the batteries were compromised as well. The seals on batteries I have purchased from Home Depot (HD) could not be removed without destroying them but somehow these were removed and still intact. I suspect these are repackaged batteries and the packaging was not their original packaging. I did examine the batteries closely to determine if they were used / returned due to the compromised packaging and seals. They were not charged (which is consistent with new batteries from HD) and there were no wear marks on the batteries so I concluded they had not been used. The date code - 2020 07 - indicates they were manufactured during the 7th week of 2020 which is comparable to new batteries I also purchased from HD - 2020 09. I decided to take a chance and keep them. The savings was only about $13 versus the HD pricing - $199. In the future, unless there is a much greater savings, I will purchase them from HD as I am confident of their supply and support. The batteries seemed to charge OK and are working for now. My husband loves these and I even use them in my Dewalt vacuum! So I love them too. Charge fast and last for a great amount of time! Definitely worth that buck.
