Additionally, the door compartment comes in handy for storing larger art canvases and resin supplies, keeping everything within reach while reducing visual clutter. While the dresser itself is well-constructed and aesthetically pleasing, I did encounter a minor inconvenience with the original plastic casters that came with the product. They felt a bit flimsy and did not provide the stability I needed for frequent movements around my workspace. To address this issue, I made a simple modification by replacing the plastic casters with stronger metal ones that feature rubber wheels and built-in brakes. This upgrade has significantly improved the mobility and stability of the dresser, making it easier for me to access my art and resin supplies whenever I need them. Overall, the cabinet has proven to be an excellent addition to my home office. Its functionality, ample storage, and stylish appearance have greatly enhanced my creative workspace. I have assembled more than my fair share of Ikia, and Walmart furniture. This one is no different. Assembly was pretty straight forward. I would have liked the castors to be a little more robust but for most smooth surface office spaces it is fine. i am using this to hold a lot of my art supplies and it works great for that. This particular unit was perfect! Five stars plus. However, I can't guarantee that if I purchased another, I would have the same results. Apparently this company (and others) have multiple suppliers for the same products, with some suppliers having better quality control than others. I have purchased three units from this company; the first one was perfect; good instructions, no missing parts, pre-drilled holes in place, and perfect fit. It seems expensive, but I couldn't have purchased the materials and made it myself for any less, and the time required for cutting, painting, etc. would have been much longer. The second unit (seven drawers) had horrible instructions; an extra part that took a while to determine placement, and some of the pre-drilled holes were not there. The third unit (also seven drawers) had better instructions, but was missing some pre-drilled holes and also was missing some screws. Had I purchased the second unit first, I would not have purchased anything else from this company, but overall my experience was positive (thus, four stars). ... show more

    • Good value and easy to assemble

This has a lot of parts to put together, but the diagrams are clear and it's straightforward to assemble. **Thoughts and tips** 1) Do yourself a favor and grab a cheap pair of Mechanix SpeedKnit work gloves or something similar with a rubber coating and wear one on the hand you're using with the screwdriver. I didn't think to put on a glove until I was about two hours into assembly, at which point my hands were sore and on the verge of developing blisters because there are a LOT of screws involved. 2. The directions say you'll need two people but I assembled it on my own in about 3-4 hours. The most beneficial time to have a second person is when attaching the cabinet door, but you can easily prop it up with something to hold it at the right height while you insert the screws. 3) Before you begin, wipe all the pieces down with a damp microfiber cloth to get the wood dust and Styrofoam pieces off. It's harder to wipe it all away once it's assembled because it gets pushed into crevices where parts meet. 4) A couple drawers sat a little crooked in the sliders. It wasn't until after I completed assembly that I read another reviewer's tip about the drawer bottoms not being exactly square and that the longer end needing to go front to back. I suspect that may be the reason only some of my drawers were crooked, but I won't bother with correcting it now. I swapped them around in different slots until things looked right, so that's fine. Overall, the assembled cabinet feels sturdy and it was reasonably easy to put together even on my own. I'd definitely buy this again. ... show more

I bought this for my craft supplies. All of the drawers provide great organization, and it looks great too. It took about 2 hours to assemble.

Building it was a bit annoying, but once I tightened some things it was all good. I might take it apart one more time to tighten a few more of the screws, but currently it works. Just sliiightly wobbly from side to side. The drawers arent super smooth but that is probably my bad. A few screws refused to go in straight no matter what I did, though. It took some effort to remedy that. Overall this will work out great, and I may use this as a design base to rebuild from scratch later on. I DID NOT add the wheels though. They felt a little too cheap for something so heavy, and I didnt trust them not to break. Adding those pads at the bottom like you do furniture will work instead for me. If anyone has tips for making it not wobbly side to side (long ways) that would be helpful though. 😂 ... show more
