The media could not be loaded. This little chicken area was assembled in about ten minutes. It was easy to move for two people. The size is perfect for our three bantam chickens and will keep them safe from hawks and eagles. They will only be in it for a few hours during the day since it is not adequate for full time use. I ordered this cage because I wanted to separate out two injured hens from my flock. It takes two people to assemble. It went together fairly easily. It's not very sturdy so I added several tie wraps to tighten corners, etc. I could never figure out how to install the silver support bar that came with this kit, so I left it off. There's no bottom to this cage. I set it up inside my garage and flattened out the box it was shipped in to use as a bottom and then spread wood shavings on top of the box. I think this cage is ideal for a garage or a barn, but I doubt it would be strong enough outdoors to protect your hens from predators. ... show more

The top is as I described above. I'm lucky that my birds didn't escape (we have hawks in the woods close by.) It does give the chickens more room to romp around. This was super easy to put together and use quickly. My babies outgrew their enclosure but weren't ready to go in with the full size hens yet. This gave them plenty of extra space until they got to the right size. Once I moved them one of my other hens was being mean so I put her in this as a "time out" spot for a couple of days. This is junk!! I got it so my bunny could go outside. Not sturdy. Very difficult to put together and instructions are a joke! Must assemble right where you want it. I’m going to use it but I’m gonna have to buy a lot of zip ties. Save your money don’t buy this product.

I never expect products from China to be of a high quality, but seriously don't waste your time or money - none of the connections are crimped to the right spec, which means that the panels don't interlock correctly without modifying them with a pair of pliers. And even if you do get them to connect, the side panels aren't the same length as the ceiling panels (probably a 3" difference) which means that there are poor connections and large gaps all around. Only reason this got two stars is that it had a surprise mirror, which is a fun amusement for the chickens. But this was also mounted inside out and was facing away from the chickens instead of towards them. Completely useless that way. ... show more
