  • 14 inch PortableTV with Antenna
I just went on a camping vacation, and I utilized this device, and it exceeded my expectations with its performance. Because of its small size, it was simple to transport, and the fact that it had a TV stand built in made it possible to position it quickly and easily on any level surface. The tuner provided a clean and crisp reception of local channels, which gave the user the opportunity to enjoy themselves while being surrounded by nature. An entire evening of movie marathons beneath the stars was able to be watched without any problems thanks to the rechargeable battery's excellent operation. The process of connecting other devices, such as streaming sticks, game consoles, and even a DVD player, was quite simple and straightforward. The 1080P quality of the LCD display generated images that were crisp and vivid, giving me the impression that I was watching a home theater setup while I was outside in the refreshing fresh air. The controls are easy to understand, and the remote control is a convenient addition, particularly when modifying the settings from a certain distance. The solid construction and high-quality materials that were utilized in its construction inspire trust in its endurance, making it suited for a variety of contexts, ranging from the peaceful atmosphere of a camping site to the fast-paced activity of a kitchen. ... show more

  • Tested
With recent 10 hour power outage. This little TV with included accessories pulled in approx. 30 channels of our usual 64 and internal battery lasted almost 3 hours. Easy to use with clear picture and decent sound. Not to bad for the investment, time will tell on longevity.

  • Works AMAZING!
I don't write a lot of reviews, but this product definitely deserves my attention. And there are not very many reviews here anyway. I live in a 3-story building where the walls and floors are constructed of concrete & steel. It's a unique building and was literally "poured" in place as wet concrete back in the 1970s. The problem with the building is that radio signals and WIFI don't travel very good either thru or around the building. And my apartment is actually located on the opposite side of the building facing away from the direction where the broadcasting towers of my local television stations are located, thus making my reception worse for that reason. So in my case, I honestly did not expect the air programming reception for the provided antenna on this TV to work very good at all for the free programming of local channels. I've tried other antennas for different televisions in the past, even one that I had outside on my deck, and none of them performed very well. The outside antenna did perform the best of any of my past experiments, but was still poor reception overall. Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't work for any given channel. So in buying this TV, I did not have any hope the reception would work. I bought it with the expectation only of hooking it up to a ROKU device and streaming content that way, but which still wouldn't have provided the free programming for my local channels. But I was soon to become very surprised: In doing the over-the-air programming for the antenna, it downloaded 45 total channels; and all but one of my local channels out of four (4) in this area instantly came in crystal clear. No fuzziness or choppy picture at all providing I sometimes moved the antenna around within an area of less than 12 inches where I keep the antenna on the table in back of the TV. As for the one single channel that doesn't come in (KPTV 12), I don't know the reason for that. It just has zero reception. But since it's not a station I would typically watch anyway, I didn't care much; and I still have the three (3) stations that I normally use. So I'm really happy with that. I thought I would need to subscribe to the PEACOCK streaming channel for NBC for $10 a month to at least have my local NBC station coming in. But I don't need to subscribe to that now. It's worth mentioning that the provided antenna is only 4½ inches tall. So it's very small, which makes it all the more surprising to me that it works so well. The first picture I've posted here is of the front of the TV just to show the clarity of the picture. The next two pictures show the antenna sitting at the back of the TV. I have the TV set up in my dining/kitchen area. As you'll see, I have placed an aluminum foil "flag" over the top of the antenna in the third picture. I did this not because it was actually necessary, but just because it still did help the reception. In some cases without the foil, I would need to move the antenna around a little bit to clear up some minor fuzziness and choppy frames in the picture reception. But with the foil on the antenna, it gives it enough of a boost that now it doesn't matter where I have the antenna sitting there at the back of the TV. For users who are buying this TV to hook up to a ROKU device, I'm offering a little advice here on how to make that work, since I did initially have some problems in getting ROKU to work: The apparent reason for why I was having the problem is because the brand of this television (DESOBRY) is not on the list of about 100 brand names that ROKU recognizes. So it just wouldn't let me program the ROKU stick because of the missing brand name. That problem was going to ruin my whole day, because I really wanted my ROKU to work to get Netflix, HBO and other streaming services that ROKU links to, including Amazon Prime Videos. The way I bypassed the programming problem for my secondary ROKU stick was to first program it on my larger television in my living room, where I also have a ROKU box. So the important point here is that I already had a ROKU account with one device and just needed to program the new ROKU stick for this TV. So I simply plugged the new ROKU stick into the larger TV and programmed it that way using my existing account. Then when I unplugged it and plugged it back into this TV, I was able to successfully bypass the need for a brand name recognized by the ROKU platform. The only slight drawback or inconvenience there is that now I have two separate ROKU remote controls to keep track of, one for this TV and the other one for my large TV. Normally that wouldn't be the case and one remote control will operate separate ROKU devices in the same home on the same account. But the sort of "moral to the story" there so to speak with the programming situation is that obviously the actual electronics of a television don't matter to the ROKU platform; or if that had mattered then I never could have gotten it to work. In this case, the situation is all about the missing "brand name" from the ROKU list of brand name televisions. But this is a great little TV. The only slight drawback in my opinion is that the audio quality for the speakers is a little bit "tinny" sounding. But it's not bad at all. My review here reflects a 4-star rating for the sound quality specifically. Overall, though, I'm giving this product a 5-star rating... ... show more

  • Defective - Worked for 5 Minutes
The TV first worked out of the box, using the AC Adapter. I was able to "search" for channels, only found a few and on none of them did any channel come through, in and out. I figured at least would be able to set up Fire Stick or Apple TV. Came back to it a few hours later, it would power on, but nothing on the screen! The remote is terrible! When I was able to use it, had to point it exactly straight into the IR! Returning. Just ordered an Insignia, at least I have actually heard of this brand vs Desobry! For less money (TV and Antenna are separate), likely getting better quality products! ... show more

  • Very Impressive!
My husband use this for travel when we go to National Parks or camping, places which typically don’t have televisions as a way of “unplugging”. After hiking and sightseeing all day we normally like watch a bit of TV. This tv is light and portable. We like that it has an antennae and this small but mighty antennae picks up about 40 channels. We like that it has a rechargeable battery back up as well for when/if the power goes out. It has a good picture and the volume is just right. Glad we purchased it! ... show more

  • This TV does not have a micro sd card slot.
This TV seems to be well made and very light weight. The screen viewing angles are okay but not the best. Be prepared to reformat your videos if you use a thumb drive. 90% of my video library would not play. I kept getting unsupported frame rate errors and file not supported on .MP4 files. This TV does not have a micro sd card slot. In the description it clearly states that it does. I had to run my movies from a raspberry pi using OSMC operating system to get rid of all the errors. This cuts down on the portability of the unit. TV channels came in good. I used it all weekend in a camper that has a very good TV antenna, so I didn't test the portable antenna. In closing I would not buy this brand of portable TV again. Maybe with an update to fix video playback it would be worth it but as it sits its not. ... show more

Fairly nice but I hooked up a Roku system and only get about 2.5 hours before battery is dead..also, it does not have a battery level indicator and just shuts off with no warning..The speakers are not the best so I use headphones and the sound is fine
