DERMALOGY by NEOGENLAB Real Ferment Micro Toner I have super dry and sensitive skin but really appreciate a bit of salicylic acid in my toner to help exfoliate and reduce the chance of any breakouts I may have. Yes, you can break out with super dry skin and especially when I am wearing a mask constantly. This toner is very gentle and helps prepare the skin for serums and then a cream. Everything absorbs better when I use a good toner. This also has a lot of ingredients that are found in super-expensive skincare products like Rice Ferment Filtrate (Sake) and Bifida Ferment Lysate. I apply this twice a day after cleansing and using a small cotton pad. I just wipe the pad all over my face and then move on to my serum and moisturizer. You don't need to soak the pad either - just a small amount is all you need. I really love this brand and they are reasonably priced.     • Absolutely crazy about Neogen products!
This is one of two brands, both Korean, that have been my favorite for trouble combination skin like mine. I have tried HUNDREDS of skin care products and if someone off the street were to stop me and ask me what I recommend for large pores and acne, this would be one of the first brands to come to mind. This toner is pretty neutral and the fragrance is so subtle, that it is almost non existent. It smells slightly like mint and vinegar. I suspect there actually is vinegar in this since it is described as containing "ferment complex" I find it to be neither drying, nor moisturizing, so I do still recommend using a moisturizer after using this toner. I often just put a cold pressed face oil on and let it soak in for a while. If you combine the oils with a face moisturizer, it likely contains a product that will help your skin absorb the oil, so I like to use a little of my favorite face cream and mix it with the oil. ... show more

I like this toner! It’s not too strong, which I wanted for my sensitive, but oily skin. It’s got a mild amount of acids . Idk what the prebiotics do , but I’m very happy with it..

    • Has Salicylic Acid - Not for me but maybe great for you
When I ordered this I didn’t realize there was salicylic acid (SA) since they did not list their ingredients on this page!! SA is considered effective for troubled skin but I don’t seem to be compatible with it. I always end up breaking out. Maybe that’s part of the skin’s purging process but no thanks. I will gift this to my sister and she will be so thrilled. This toner came inside the manufacturer’s box with an adhesive seal. Under the twist/screw cap is another seal. Thank you for that! The bottle is plastic unlike their essence which is in glass. At the bottom of the bottle is the expiration date. Mine is 03/31/2024. If you are in the same position as me when it comes to salicylic acid, I highly suggest trying their ‘real ferment micro essence’. I love it! It’s gentle and brightens and softens my skin. It doesn’t prevent my acne but nothing does. It helps clear up my skin though. Their serum in this particular skincare line is good as well but sometimes a little sticky. This brand and Korean beauty/skincare in general is innovative, effective, natural, and high quality. It’s worth a try!
