I was coming up on the time to refill my 2 week medicine boxes, a chore I really dread. I have a lot of medications and have to be really careful. One pill I particularly dread is my tiny little fluid pills, which have to be cut into halves. I have used a single type pill cutter with mixed results In the past. I sometimes end up with uneven halves or one side will end up in slivers or powder. I had been thinking that I may need a new sharper blade. To my surprise when I started looking, I found these multiple cutters. My new one holds up to 10 of my tiny pills, though I only cut two for my first try, afraid I would ruin a large number at once. To my delight and surprise, it did an outstanding job. The cutter has soft liners inside the cutting area that grip the pills snugly and a little control wheel in the bottom that allows you to tighten along the sides of all 10 pills to hold firmly for cutting. Oh my gosh!! This little pill-splitting machine is not only amazing but saves me so much time. I have two meds each day that need to be split in half. It can easily be done by hand but lining them up in this baby and perfectly cutting 6-8 at a time pills at a time was mind-blowing! I can have a 90 supply done in 5-10 minutes! Two weeks worth of half pills in one press of the top of the device? What a time saver. No more trying to keep the little pill in the right position to split it between your fingers. Worked well immediately out of the box. No long term experience.

    • Well…. That didn’t go so well
I have a medium sized pill that I take 4 times a day but I only take a half each time. So I needed a pill splitter that could do more than one at a time. I have been doing it by hand (snap, snap, snap), until I hyperextended my finger back in June by breaking these pills. It still has not healed, and I’m not going to be snapping pills with my fingers again. This was seemingly going to be the answer to my conundrum. Alas, I was wrong. I received it a couple of days ago and tried it out yesterday. I lined up 5 pills and they were snug and in line - looked perfect! And then I snapped it closed to split the pills and Crunch - some of the pieces were indeed half sized and looked good. However, the majority of them were crushed into slivers of pieces and powder. So now I will have to do some sort of separating this mess into approximate doses. It’s better than injuring my finger again, but has some serious room for improvement. I’ll be going back to one pill at a time. Heaven forbid trying to save time and space. I do like that the size for the row is adjustable, that worked really well to keep them in line and they didn’t slip around or out of position. Absolutely wonderful product. This lines your meds in a row (adjustable gears bring them to the center) allowing them to be able to be cut in half. I had another one that you had to guess where to cut in half. Most of the time they got into pieces.

My husband takes a boat load of pills and a few half pills every day. One of the things I disliked the most was having to cut some of his pills in half. I was skeptical, but I’m impressed! I’ve been having to cut a pill for every day for years. It was annoying. This cut 4 at a time perfectly even! Now I can cut them all ahead of time without it taking forever!
